She's playing a young woman struggling with a rare auto-immune condition that caused violent episodes and delusions.

So thankfully Chloe Grace Moretz nearly being hit by a taxi on Saturday is a scene from a film and not a real life near miss.

The 18-year-old actress is in Vancouver filming scenes for Brain On Fire, as she had an encounter with a yellow cab.

The blonde beauty is seen putting her hand out to save herself from the vehicle, as she crossed the street made to look as though she is in Manhattan.

The Kick-Ass actress's tousled locks were left loose to frame her pretty facial features which were highlighted by natural hues of make-up. 

She wore a nude-coloured sweater over a collared shirt, giving her a relaxed style.

Chloe carried a large black messenger bag over one shoulder, in the scenes as the lead role of Susannah Cahalan in the Charlize Theron produced movie. 

There was no sign of the recent septum piercing which the teenager seemed to display in New York last month.

She appeared to have the silver nose ring as she stepped out in the city on June 22nd. 

The star is on a high with her movie career, with new Young Adult movie The 5th Wave set for release in January 2016. 

The sci-fi adventure flick is centred around Chloe's character Cassie Sullivan, who tries to survive in a world ravaged by alien invasions.
