'You two are the ULTIMATE squad goals': Taylor Swift is delighted after Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart do dramatic readings of her lyrics

Taylor Swift took to Twitter on Thursday to thank two Knights of the Realm Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart for reciting her song lyrics.

The 25-year-old pop star was thankful after Ian, 76, recited lyrics from Bad Blood and Patrick, 75, delivered lines from Blank Space.

Sir Ian delivered his lines on Wednesday while promoting his new movie Mr. Holmes on Yahoo.

The stage and screen star added a certain gravitas to the single featuring rapper Kendrick Lamar that reached numer one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

'Cause, baby, now we got bad blood / You know it used to be mad love / So take a look what you've done / 'Cause, baby, now we got bad blood,' he said rather dramatically. 

Sir Patrick followed up on Thursday by posting a link to an upcoming appearance on NPR's Ask Me Another

A teaser audio clip featured the Royal Shakespeare Company veteran reciting lyrics from Taylor's hit song Blank Space that also climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

'I get drunk on jealousy / But you'll come back each time you leave / Cause darling I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream,' Patrick said with elan.

The Star Trek: The Next Generation star in his tweet to his nearly two million followers asked Taylor about joining her posse of pals.

'So @IanMcKellen recited Bad Blood and I did Blank Space on @NPRAskMeAnother. May we join the squad, @taylorswift13?,' Patrick tweeted.

The pop star has a growing stable of famous friends such as Karlie Koss, Gigi Hadid and singer Lorde.

Taylor responded shortly later with a tweet to her more than 60 million followers on Twitter.

'Thanks for reciting my lyrics, @IanMcKellen and @SirPatStew! You've made my day. You two are ULTIMATE Squad Goals,' Taylor tweeted along with a collage of pictures of good friends Ian and Patrick together.

Patrick can be seen on August 22 in the new Starz comedy Blunt Talk produced by Seth MacFarlane.

He portays British newscaster Walter Blunt who moves to Los Angeles with his alcoholic manservant to host a sanctimonious talk show.
