Doctor Who star Alex Kingston can't hold back the tears as she ties the knot with third husband Jonathan Stamp in romantic Italian ceremony
Alex Kingston has married her long-term partner Jonathan Stamp in a romantic Italian ceremony.
The 52-year-old actress, best known for her roles in sci-fi series Doctor Who and medical drama ER, walked down the aisle in a romantic ceremony held at the All Saints Anglican Church in Rome on Saturday.
Alex shunned bridal traditions for her third marriage, opting for a pastel green wedding dress with a voluminous skirt instead of a classic white gown.

The screen star and her TV producer Jonathan were grinning from ear-to-ear as they left the church after the ceremony, with a violinist serenading them as they made their way to the reception.
The happy couple were joined by a gaggle of bridesmaids, who included Alex's 14-year-old daughter Salome, all wearing equally unconventional black prom dresses.
The girls shielded themselves from the scorching afternoon sun under pretty parasols and wore giant red blooms in their hair.
Wiping away the tears: Alex, who appears as River Song in Doctor Who, couldn't help crying during the ceremony, while TV producer Jonathan also looked emotional

Dancing queen: The couple, who got together following the breakdown of Alex's second marriage in 2010, showed off some fancy footwork on the street
Alex was the picture of happiness following the ceremony, hitching up her pale gown's skirt as the wedding party made their way down the street, drawing curious stares from onlookers.
The British actress had beautiful pink roses woven in her curly locks and carried a white bouquet.
This marks Alex's third marriage, having most notably been wed to Skyfall actor Ralph Fiennes.

'As parents, you make it work, because it’s what is best for your child.'
