He was propelled into the spotlight after playing Sam in Love Actually aged just 12 and Thomas Brodie-Sangster has come a long way since his child-acting days.

The London-born star is now a 25-year-old man and the true extent of his maturity was shown when he was spotted arriving at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday.

Thomas was photographed strolling through the terminal building in a comfortable ensemble ahead of a long-haul flight, 13 years after the iconic scene which saw his rom-com character run after love interest Joanna before she boarded a plane.

The award-winning actor looked cool and casual dressed in a grey sports tracksuit which he teamed with a waffle-knit matching jumper.

Game of Thrones star Thomas also wore a pair of black running trainers and worked a just-got-out-of-bed hairdo.

Hollywood fame has not gone to the former child star's head as he didn't mind being noticed and opted to wear his shades tucked into his jumper's neckline.

Once inside, the Game of Thrones star was all too happy to spare some time for a handful of excited fans.

In the famous airport scene in Love Actually, Thomas' character goes running after the object of his affection and although there was no such excitement on this trip, he wasn't short of admirers.

Chiseled Thomas gladly smiled as one male fan relished the opportunity to jump in for a selfie with him.

Onto the next one: Thomas was getting ready to leave California after attending the comic con in San Diego

Thomas had been in California attending the San Diego comic con where he was joined by his Maze Runner 2 co-stars at a press conference.

The youngster talked about his role as Newt in Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials which is due to hit box offices in September.

Thomas is often thought of as being much younger than his 25 years and this was made apparent to him on a recent trip to Canada.

Talking to the Guardian in April about trying to buy a pint without ID, he said: “For the first time in my life I got out my phone and looked myself up on IMDb.

“They laughed and even got me to sign my autograph. But they wouldn’t serve me that pint.”

However, his youthful appearance also works in his favour as despite the fact he's in his mid-20s, Thomas is still cast in child roles.

Most recently, Thomas starred as Thomas Cromwell's 15-year-old protege in the BBC's adaptation of Wolf Hall.

His latest project has seen him lend his voice to two characters in the reboot of cult classic TV series Thunderbirds Are Go!
