No singin' in the rain! Willow Smith looks less than pleased after getting caught in a downpour in Los Angeles

While Southern California might have needed the rain, Willow Smith certainly didn't enjoy getting wet on Saturday.

The 14-year-old singer didn't look too pleased as she walked during a rare downpour in Los Angeles after enjoying lunch with a pal.

Fortunately, she was dressed for the occasion in comfortable layers and sturdy boots but still looked as though she wanted to be elsewhere.

Her short dreadlocks mostly hidden under a dark baseball cap, Willow had a very natural look for her casual walk.

Underneath a heavy, black raincoat, the girl wore a black T-shirt with white print that was mostly covered by the straps and bib of cut-off denim overalls.

Tight, black leggings stood in for trousers, and sensible black boots helped to keep Willow's feet dry as she dodged puddles.

Whether it was the company of a friend or the shopping, Willow did manage to break a smile at one point before a heavier downpour dampened her spirits.

It seemed to be an unusually normal-teen day for the Whip My Hair singer, who is the daughter of actors Will Smith, 46, and Jada Pinkett Smith, 43.

With big brother Jaden, 17, Willow recently performed at London's Wireless Festival alongside big names like Drake.

They will next fly to Dubai for the city's annual summer surprises, performing and showcasing their fashion brand, MSFTS.

When not busy with her singing career, Willow has dabbled in modelling and in June scored a huge campaign as the face of Marc Jacobs' fall and winter line.

'Beauty, style and talent know no age. It is those individuals whose creativity, unique vision, and voice inspire all of us here to create and express ourselves through our medium,' Marc wrote after introducing Willow as new model, alongside legendary singer Cher, 69.

Being a normal teenager has rarely appealed to Willow though, according to an interview she gave with Jaden back in November.

'I went to school for one year. It was the best experience but the worst experience,' Willow told T Magazine, explaining how teens were depressed and held back by formal schooling.
