'My voice is not quite right': Caitlyn Jenner loved her 'fabulous' appearance at ESPYs but felt self-conscious listening to her speech

Caitlyn Jenner is unhappy with her voice.

The 65-year-old Olympian - who was previously known as Bruce Jenner before announcing her transition to female earlier this year - admitted watching her ESPYs speech on TV bothered her because she doesn't think her voice fits her new feminine appearance.

Writing on her blog CaitlynJenner.com, she said: 'While I felt like I looked great and that the gown looked fabulous, I still have a voice issue.'

'It's not quite right compared to my feminine appearance. That bothers me a little bit. However, I hope that people don't listen to the pitch of my voice, but listen to what I have to say. That's important to me.'

Caitlyn was presented with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award this past Wednesday and while she was nervous about giving a speech in front of a large crowd, she also worried about upsetting her children.

She said: 'The toughest part in the speech was my kids. It was hard to look over there and see all of my children.'

She continued: 'As I said in the speech, I don't want to hurt anybody. I just want to be myself. I barely got through that.'

However, Caitlyn also took the time to celebrate her accomplishments in the blog piece, and shared her gratitude with the ESPYs and with the show's executive producer, Maura Mandt.

'Maura was so behind this, even with the little bit of the controversies. She knew it was the right thing to do,' she said.

She also shared a series of photographs from the inspiring event on her Instagram account and on the blog.

A snap of her award alongside champagne bottles advertised the revealing blog post - noting a link in her Instagram bio - as the TV personality wrote: 'Still reliving the ESPYs. It was an amazing night!'

She also shared a picture alongside a member of the USA Women's World Cup team, Abby Wambach, who had introduced her ahead of the honor.

Be a showstopper in a white gown like Caitlyn

Caitlyn Jenner might have skipped the ESPY red carpet, but that doesn't take away her crown for best dressed.

Caitlyn took the stage in a stunning white gown while receiving the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.

Although, her speech was quite memorable and teary-eyed, she made sure not to ruin her bronze make up or get a tear on her breath taking white dress.

If you fell in love with her ethereal wrap gown as much as we did, then why not follow the footsteps of a fashionista and emulate her look?

Caitlyn noted that the snap was important to her, writing: 'I told her beforehand, 'Abby, we have to have this picture of the two of us up there on stage - you in a tux and me in a Versace gown. THAT is the picture of the ESPYs right there.''

Lastly she shared a snap of her supportive family, dressed all in black as Caitlyn donned her glamorous white Versace gown, symbolizing the reason everyone had for assembling for the evening.

Caitlyn wrapped the heartfelt post by saying: 'Lastly, thank all of you for your support. Getting up there on stage in front of the whole world was no easy feat, but I so appreciate your encouragement and love. We’re changing hearts and minds one at a time.'
