She recently teased fans about her upcoming return to the world of pop.

But Geri Halliwell was happy to spend the day away from the recording studio as she picked up her husband, Christian Horner, for a lunch date last week.

The Spice Girl singer kept her look simple for the outing as she went to collect her spouse from the Red Bull racing headquarters in Milton Keynes before the pair made their way to a local pub for lunch.

Geri, 42, was rocking her preferred simple style as she teamed a navy top with indigo skinny jeans and cream heels.

She has completed the look with a blue handbag while she sported a fresh-faced make-up and left her hair naturally straight.

Her F1 boss partner looked handsome in a striped shirt, navy blazer and beige trousers and completed his look with green shoes.

Geri was then seen filling up her Aston Martin at a nearby petrol station.

Meanwhile, Geri is set to enjoy a pop comeback if her Instagram is anything to go by, with the singer sharing snaps as she recorded 'two last songs' in the studio last week.

The ex-pop princess has been posting images of herself trying out material since before her wedding in May this year.

The mother-of-one posted two black-and-white pictures of herself on her Instagram, alluding to the recording of an album.

She captioned the first, showing her singing into a microphone; 'I'm in studio. Recording last two songs. Feels pretty good.(sic)'

The second snap, showing a smiling Geri looking off camera, was captioned: 'Listening back. In studio.'

Geri, who married Red Bull F1 guru Christian, 41, in May, spent some six hours in the studios in north-west London on Tuesday.

She left the studios in the early evening, smiling as she walked her dog Daddy to her car after finishing off her final tracks.

After departing the Spice Girls in 1998, Geri launched a solo career which resulted four UK number one singles - Mi Chico Latino, Lift Me Up, Bag It Up and a cover of It's Raining Men - and three studio albums.

Including her seven UK number ones as part of the Spice Girls, Geri has the third most number one singles in UK Singles Chart history among female singers.

The multi-talented star - who's an avid tennis fan - was pictured at Wimbledon with her handsome husband on Friday.

Wearing a stylish, blue checked suit and white blouse, the star cut an elegant and poised figure at the famous sporting event.

Geri and Christian, 41, looked ever-inch the newlyweds that they are as they put on a loving display in the stands.

But being the keen tennis fan that she is, Geri couldn't resist getting a picture of herself and Christian at the hallowed tennis event, sharing the snap on Instagram.

Geri and Christian tied the knot on May 15 at St Mary's Church in Woburn, Bedfordshire, six months after announcing their engagement.
