New couple alert? Jaden Smith holds hands with a mystery girl as they take a stroll through the Big Apple
Jaden Smith appeared to be debuting a new romance as he stepped out in New York on Thursday.
The 17-year-old - who celebrated his birthday last week - went hand-in-hand with a mystery girl as they strolled through the city.
Jaden's date had a big smile on her face as she interlaced fingers with the After Earth star, and was later spotted leaning against his legs while sitting on the pavement.

The son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith was keeping a low profile during the outing, wearing an aquamarine hoodie pulled up and nearly covering his face.
Jaden also sported a simple white T-shirt, black skinny jeans and navy trainers.
His female companion was dressed casually too, in jeans, a black T-shirt under a grey striped jacket and black and gold lace-up trainers, and tied her hair in a ponytail.
While it looked as though the pair were enjoying a date, they also appeared to be joined by a couple of other friends.

Jaden was most recently linked to Kylie Jenner, also 17, but the two stars never confirmed their relationship. She is now believed to be dating 25-year-old rapper Tyga.
In May, Jaden went to prom with Hunger Games actress and close friend Amandla Stenberg.
In the past, he is said to have dated Nicole Richie's little sister Sofia and Vanessa Hudgens' little sister Stella.
After his relaxed afternoon with the unknown girl, the actor and rapper was seen back on set of his Netflix series The Get Down in Brooklyn on Friday, sporting a big afro wig.

Former flame?: Jaden was previously linked to Kylie Jenner, who he is pictured with in November 2013, but the stars never confirmed their relationship
The music-driven drama centres around a crew of South Bronx teenagers running wild in the streets with no-one to shelter them but each other.
Jaden plays Marcus 'Dizzee' Kipling, a 'psychedelically talented and enigmatic graffiti writer' from the Bronx in the 13-episode hip-hop series.
Show creator Baz Luhrmann told EW: 'In the short time [Jaden] has joined our acting family, he has begun developing his The Get Down skill set.
'[He's] taking lessons from the legendary graffiti artist Lady Pink of Wild Style fame, as well as steeping himself in the history and culture of the Bronx.'

Move over Kardashian's, the Jenner's are moving in.
Kendall and Khloe arrived at the Espy's looking jawdroppingly gorgeous.
Kendall wore a black mesh dress by Alexander Vauthier mesh dress and Kylie went for the gold. What we love about the dress is that it's completely covered but it is able to highlight her slim waist!
We're guessing her favorite color might be gold? Just a hunch.

Most of us wouldn't dare to slip on a gold sequin gown like Kylie's but she's a risk taker, and in this case..it's a great thing she took the risk!
