Christian Bale sports a dishevelled mane and bushy overgrown beard while out and about in LA
He is best known for his portrayal of handsome billionaire Bruce Wayne in the Dark Knight trilogy of Batman films.
But Christian Bale was a far cry from his superhero character on his latest outing.
The 41-year-old actor sported a long, wild mane and bushy beard during an outing in Brentwood on Monday.

Wild: Christian Bale sported a rather unkempt look while spotted leaving New York Bagel in Brentwood, California on Monday
The Oscar-Winner looked almost unrecognisable in the rather unkempt look as he left New York Bagel in the affluent Los Angeles neighbourhood.
Christian was dressed comfortably for the occasion as he sported a black top with matching Under Armour athletic shorts.
He also wore a pair of white Puma trainers as the American Psycho star had a pair of black designer sunglasses hanging off the collar of his top.

Casual customer: He sported a black top with matching Under Armour athletic shorts and finished off the look with white Puma sneakers
The most striking part of the look is definitely the combination of the actors long brunette locks and thick facial hair as he definitely resembled a biblical figure.
Another noticeable thing was the blue medical tape and cotton ball around his right elbow as he appeared to have given blood recently.
Christian famously played Batman in the Christopher Nolan-directed trilogy of films, which concluded with 2012's The Dark Knight Rises.
As Ben Affleck is now taking on the role of the Caped Crusader in upcoming flicks Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Suicide Squad, the 42-year-old actor revealed he asked Christian for some advice.

Busy man: No doubt the casual errand trip came at a good time as he has five films set to come out within the next few years
Last week during a panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego, California, Ben recalled coincidentally running into each other while shopping for costumes for their sons in Los Angeles last Halloween.
'There he and I are standing in the Batman costume row and I said, "Do you have any tips?", Affleck said.
'And he said, "Make sure you can p*** in that suit".'
Holding it in: Ben Affleck revealed last week at Comic-Con that Christian warned him of the one potential drawback of donning the iconic Batsuit: going to the toilet.
Batman Returns: The 42-year-old, pictured with co-star Henry Cavill, confirmed he had sought the advice of his predecessor on playing the Dark Knight
Christian has proved he doesnt need to play the billionaire playboy with a penchant for crime-fighting as he has five films set for release including drama Knight Of Cups.
The film is centred around a screenwriter living in LA who tries to make sense of strange events going on around him.
No utility belt button for that! When he asked Bale - who played Batman in the previous Christopher Nolan trilogy - if he had any tips, he replied: 'Make sure you can p*** in that suit'
It is directed by Terrence Malick, who is known for his work in The Thin Red Line, and also stars Natalie Portman, Cate Blanchett, Joe Manganiello, Joel Kinnaman, Ben Kingsley, Nick Offerman, Antonio Banderas and Thomas Lennon.
Knight Of Cups is set for release on December 11 in the US with a UK release date on 1 January 2016.
