Ailing Yolanda Foster acts as nurse to help sunburned husband David during luxury holiday in Canada

Yolanda Foster put her battle against Lyme disease on hold in an Instagram picture posted on Monday as she treated her sunburned husband.

The 51-year-old reality star was shown aboard a boat with her 65-year-old husband David Foster reclining next to her.

Yolanda was tenderly covering David's red face to to help alleviate his suffering.

'Yohurt [sic] for the rescue my love........... #TooMuchFunInTheSun #TooLittleSunscreen #VancouverIsland,' Yolanda wrote in the caption for her one million followers on Instagram.

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star opted for the home remedy of yogurt for musican David who has won 16 Grammy Awards.

Yolanda has been posting inspirational messages on Instagram as she chronicles her struggle against Lyme disease.

She shared a photo earlier this month of herself getting blood drawn during a treatment.

'Never let your emotions overpower your intelligence.....' Yolanda captioned the photo along with several positive hashtags and a heart emoji.

Yolanda contracted Lyme disease in 2012 shortly after she joined the cast of the Bravo reality show.

The Dutch model has been vocal since her diagnosis about her condition and has been using social media to raise awareness of the disease.

Yolanda in Bravo blog posting in January said that she was unable to read or write or watch TV.

'It feels like someone came in and confiscated my brain and tied my hands behind my back to just watch and see life go by without me participating in it,' she wrote.

She's been seeking a variety of holistic treatments including sessions in a hyperbaric chamber and stem cell treatment.

Lyme disease is the most commonly reported illness transmitted by insects in the US and and is typically transmitted by the bite of a tick.

Yolanda was forced to leave the Real Housewives reunion show in March early due to her worsening health.

It has not yet been revealed whether Yolanda will be returning for the sixth season of the Bravo show with the decision likely depending on her health.

Yolanda is the mother of rising model Gigi Hadid, 20; Bella Hadid, 18, and 16-year-old son Anwar from her previous marriage to Mohamed Hadid.

David and Yolanda have been married since 2011.
