Miranda Lambert is having a hard time coming to terms with her split from Blake Shelton, according to a new report.

A source tells People that the 31-year-old is 'sad and trying to process everything' in the wake of the couple's announcement that they are divorcing.

The insider added: 'She's doing the best she can and taking it day by day.'

On Saturday, Miranda cried on stage while performing ballad The House That Built Her, which was given to her by Blake in 2011.

The Pistol Annies star, who was performing in Wyoming, told the crowd, 'No one wants to cry in front of 19,000 people,' before getting the audience to sing along as she composed herself.

The news comes amid claims that Blake filed for divorce from Miranda after four years of marriage and a nine-year relationship because he believes she cheated on him.

TMZ claims 'multiple sources' have alleged that Blake believes Miranda 'hooked up' with fellow country singer Chris Young and a second man.

According to the publication, Blake was given some information about the other, unidentified man, which apparently confirmed his wife's alleged infidelity to him.

TMZ adds that the 39-year-old, who is believed to have filed for divorce using just his initials two weeks ago in order to keep the paperwork a secret, is 'very upset' about the breakdown of his second marriage.

The former couple are understood to have had a prenuptial agreement in place, with Miranda allegedly set to keep their marital home in Nashville while Blake walks away with their Oklahoma ranch.

Chris was the opening act on Miranda's On Fire tour in 2012, and the pair forged a close friendship.

When they were spotted looking very cosy at a bar in Nashville in February, rumours that they were more than just friendly started swirling.

During their marriage, Blake laughed off rumours that he had been unfaithful, tweeting in 2013: 'I just read in a tabloid that our marriage is falling apart!!!'

Miranda replied: 'Oh no! Can’t wait to read if we make it or not.'

Meanwhile, the New York Post's Page Six claims that the break-up was due to the fact Blake wanted to start a family, but Miranda wasn't ready.

'He is eager to have children,' a source alleged to the website. 'But she really enjoys not being tied down. I think they both were off on what the time frame would be.

'They are never together, and he was wanting them to move close to being together. She really loves her career and touring. She has the ability to go and record albums when she wants and to tour.'

Dailymail.com contacted a representative for the couple for comment, who reiterated their joint separation statement, reading: 'This is not the future we envisioned.

'And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues.
