Happy to be home! Beaming Pierce Brosnan looks in high spirits as he returns to his native Ireland to work on new movie I.T.

He has made the idyllic coastline of Malibu, California his home for the last two decades.

But Pierce Brosnan proved there's no place like home as he returned to Ireland to work on his next film.

The Bond icon, 62, looked in high spirits as he arrived to the set of I.T. this week, which is shooting in the centre of Dublin.

Dressed in his usual dapper style, including a wax jacket, open shirt dark denim jeans, he couldn't help beaming as he tread the streets of the Irish capital.

Pierce both stars in and produces the new film, which also sees Anna Friel and Swedish actor Michael Nyqvist take leading roles.

He plays a successful publisher whose relationship with a young I.T. consultant sours, and soon finds that his new enemy is using using technology to threaten his family, business, and life.

As the cameras began rolling, Pierce was seen putting on gloves and balaclava to shoot one tense film, which saw him entering an old terraced house.

As well as I.T., the Irish actor will soon star in forthcoming fantasy adventure film The Moon and the Sun which has been filming in Australia and France where he plays King Louis XIV.

The film focuses on the King's quest for immortality, leading him to capture and steal a mermaid's life force, and will be released later this year.
