Joining the list: The Sword And The Stone joins a growing list of Disney aimated features that are being rebooted as live-action movies following the success of Cinderella, Maleficent and Alice In Wonderland
Like Games Of Thrones, the Disney original animation was loosely based on a book by author T.H. White.

The Disney film released in 1963 followed an orphan called Arthur who removed a sword from a blacksmith's anvil in London and eventually became King.
The Sword And The Stone tone joins other former animated features already greenlit by the studio for makeovers.
They include Beauty And The Beast starring Emma Watson, Tinker Bell starring Reese Witherspoon and The Jungle Book, a mix of live action and computer-generated characters directed by Jon Favreau.
Also in the works at the Mouse House are reboots of Disney classics Mulan, Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, Fantasia and a prequel to Aladdin.
