Candace Cameron Bure and Paula Faris 'in talks to join The View'... after former Full House star impressed execs with controversial opinions

Candace Cameron Bure and Paula Faris have been announced as the latest personalities to join the The View panel.

Variety reports that ABC is in negotiations to add the women to the line-up for season 19 which includes Whoopi Goldberg and the recently added Raven-Symone and comedian Michelle Collins.

The news comes after Rosie O'Donnell departed the panel in February over health issues and Rosie Perez and Nicole Wallace also exiting the show after just one season.

Both women - who have guest hosted on the show in the past - have busy schedules that they will juggle to make the new gig work. 

Candace is currently filming upcoming Netflix series Fuller House until November and will reportedly be in New York for the talk show some weeks and then jet back to LA for for filming other weeks.

Meanwhile Paula, 39, is co-anchor of GMA Weekend and will only work on the daytime talk show Mondays through Thursdays.

To help Candace and Paula juggle their schedules, Variety reports there will be a panel of contributors who will act as substitute co-hosts when needed.

Those in the running for the part-time roles include Molly Sims, Sherri Shepherd, stylist Stacy London and Wallace, who hasn't decided if she’ll continue on the show in the smaller role.   

Candace, 39, is being considered for the Republican spot while Paula's will be the journalist seat. 

TV execs are hoping former child star Candace will offer more controversial opinions on the show's signature Hot Topics segments.

A source said bosses were impressed when Candace defended an Oregon bakery for refusing to bake a cake for a lesbian wedding on a recent guest hosting spot on The View. The debate went viral on social media.

Producers are also aware that the chat show has been missing something this most recent season and ratings dropped 16 percent in the second quarter compared to 2014 when Barbara Walters retired.

Sources told Variety that execs are even considering making the Friday edition live in the new season - allowing the hosts to deal with Hot Topics in the news.
