Thomas Cohen steps out with close friend Georgia Keeling as she lends him support ahead of the anniversary of wife Peaches Geldof's tragic death

Thomas Cohen is being supported by a friend of his wife Peaches Geldof, almost a year after her tragic death.

The widower has been seen with artist Georgia Keeling, with whom he is said to have struck up a close friendship over the past year, in the wake of Peaches' passing.

Thomas, 24, and Georgia, stepped out together in London on Friday looking relaxed as they took his son Astala out for a walk.

According to The Sun newspaper, the musician has become close friends with Georgia.

The father-of-two has been seen taking his two-year-old son Astala out for a walk with artist friend of Peaches, who is said to be a regular visitor to his parents’ home.

‘It is great to see him smiling again,’ a source told the publication.

Later adding: ‘But he is a young man and he needs to get on with his life in the best way he can.’

After losing Peaches on April 7 last year, the British musician and his young sons moved in with his parents Susan and Keith in East London.

And it seems that he's in a far better place as he went about his day with his friend and oldest child - he is also father to one-year-old Phaedra - near his home.

The family have been laying low since Peaches’ passing last year, which sadly echoed her own mother Paula Yates’ death from a drug overdose in 2000.

The TV presenter and model was found dead at her home in Wrotham, Kent, with her youngest son Phaedra nearby.

Bob - who is also a father to Fifi, 31, and Tiger Lily, 18 - spoke out about the incident last autumn, explaining that he goes 'over and over' her death in his mind, wondering whether he could have intervened.

Speaking on ITV, the rocker confessed: 'You blame yourself. You’re the father who is responsible and clearly failed.

'You go back, you go over, you go over. What could you have done? You do as much as you can.'
