Ballin’ with The Biebs! Justin Bieber and actor Michael Rapaport play a game of basketball for a secret photo shoot
The Biebs can ball – he was recently named MVP at Kanye West’s basketball birthday party.
And Justin Bieber appears to be putting his skills to good use for a covert photo shoot involving him and actor/comedian Michael Rapaport.
On Friday, the same day as the secret shoot, the 21-year-old pop icon took to Fahlo, one of his many social media accounts, with a straightforward message of confirmation: ‘Complex cover shoot,’ he wrote.

Unlikely duo: Justin Bieber, 21, was joined by actor Michael Rapaport, 45, on set of a secret basketball-themed photo shoot in West Hollywood on Friday
Complex cover: Justin confirmed via his Fahlo account that the shoot was for his upcoming Complex magazine cover; also present was actor and videographer Dean Collins (right)
It’s an unlikely duo – the 45-year-old raunchy comedian and 21-year-old heartthrob – but it will almost certainly result in something hysterical.
Also on set was actor and videographer Dean Collins, who took to Instagram to share a video of the trio, which hinted at the tone of the shoot.
Collins, 25, films himself leaning in to Bieber and Rapaport asking, ‘Hey yo, Justin. You mind if I could get a flick with you?’
But Rapaport busts in with classic New Yorker charm: ‘Don’t f***ing come over here and talk to Bieber that way, ok?’

On Bieber's Twitter account, the pop star vaguely hinted at the reason for Friday's basketball game: 'Cover shoot,' he wrote.
But The Biebs' manager, Scooter Braun, was slightly more revealing with a video posted to Instagram.
The music manager recapped the game and how his client taught him his signature move (off the noggin mctwist) with the caption featuring: '#Complex.'
Familiar territory: Justin is a natural basketball player, as he was recently named MVP at Kanye West's birthday party/pick-up game at Staples Center
The photos from Friday show the two stars wearing standard street ball garb – baggy workout shorts, and high-top trainers.
But Bieber throws some personal flair into the look with a tight-fitting V-neck t-shirt and a backwards grey hat.
Rapaport sported a blue jersey, emblazoned with his name and the number 42.
Prepare to laugh: With Rapaport's comedic background, the shoot is undoubtedly going to have a funny feel
Been here before: Back in 2012, Justin Bieber was featured on the cover of Complex for the first time in a boxing themed photo shoot
Back in 2012, The Biebs graced the cover of Complex for the first time.
That shoot, which came out just weeks after Bieber turned 18 and three months before the release of his album Believe, featured the pop singer bloodied and battered in the boxing ring.
The cover shows a much younger looking Bieber as he nurses his fighting wounds with a bit of raw steak.
How far he's come: At the time of his first Complex cover, Bieber had just turned 18 and was preparing to release his album Believe
Add it to the list: Including covers for Rolling Stone, Forbes, Men's Health and many other magazines, Bieber has most recently been featured on the August cover of Interview magazine
After landing many covers before – Forbes, Men’s Health, Rolling Stone – Bieber’s most recent front page spectacle was for Interview magazine’s August issue.
Many considered the Steven Klein shot photos to be somewhat racy for the gentle-faced 21-year-old.
Almost all of the Polaroid-style shots feature Bieber with his shirt off, in some he wears a leather mask typical of BDSM culture and in another he licks a knife the size of his head.
Racy: The Polaroid-style photos, shot by Steven Klein, show Bieber almost always topless and in some with a large knife
