'It feels like an uphill battle': Naomi Watts confesses that ageing gracefully and allowing 'natural progression' isn't always easy - especially in Hollywood
While the blonde beauty always looks luminous on the red carpet, she credits her appearance to her Australian upbringing.
Before moving to LA to conquer Hollywood, Naomi grew up with the harsh sun Down Under and seems to still be an Aussie girl at heart revealing that she always wears sunscreen to protect her porcelain skin.
'I have fair skin so I always have an SPF 50+ in my handbag,' she told the publication.
The busy mother-of-two, who has sons Alexander, eight, and Samuel, six, also opts for easy solutions she can work into her day-to-day routine.
'I'm just like any woman': The 46-year-old admits she has wished she had less lines on her face but is trying to embrace it and the opportunities it brings with it...especially in the youthfully obsessed Hollywood
Luminous complexion! The mother-of-two credits her luminous complexion to her regular use of sunscreen along with plenty of water and exercise
'I drink plenty of water and sleep and exercise is very important to me,' Naomi explained, adding: 'I practice yoga and Pilates and I’m also a fan of cardio dance classes'.
In an interview with Body and Soul magazine in 2013, the Oscar nominated actress also candidly opened up about aging in the youthfully obsessed Hollywood.
'Growing older gives you so many great things. But every now and again it just doesn’t feel great, and that’s just the truth,' she confessed.

Be a ray of sunshine in Naomi's yellow Gucci gown
Back in February, there was some serious wattage emanating from the Golden Globes red carpet, and we think it might have something to do with Naomi Watts.
The flaxen-haired actress stood out by a clear mile amidst the other gown-clad Hollywood revellers in her eye-catching canary yellow badeau creation by none other than Italian fashion house Gucci.
The simple column style dress hit the floor with its cylinder style silhouette and featured a subtle ruched texture on the upper half as well as a cinched in waist belt featuring a glistening diamante buckle. Thumbs up for the snake-piece necklace too; a s-s-s-plendid effort!
A bright yellow dress will not only bring a ray of sunshine into your wardrobes (which we're in dire need of after we rinsed the all-black-everything craze), but it will set you apart from everyone else around you.
The dismal news is that Naomi's dress is not available to buy online since it was especially made for her - but we can certainly take a leaf out of her style book and emulate her stunning appearance with one of the options in the carousel below. 'The hard times are when I wish I didn’t look so tired or my eyes worked better… Do I wish I had more collagen in my face or less lines? I’m just like any woman.
'I am embracing where I am at this point in my life; the work I am being given and the great opportunities… playing strong women who have had amazing experiences,' the actress who played Princess Diana added.
The former Home And Away actress joined the ranks of Jane Fonda, Beyonce and Eva Longoria as an ambassador of the beauty brand in October last year.
