Is the stress getting to her? Demi Moore looks sombre walking in New York wearing favourite Daisy Dukes after pool death at LA family home
She has had a tough week in the wake of the tragic death of a young man in the pool at her Los Angeles home.
And it looked as if the stress caused by the event may have been beginning to get to Demi Moore when she was seen out shopping in New York on Saturday.
The 52-year-old actress looked more sombre than usual while walking through the city streets.
Sombre: Demi Moore seemed very down when she was seen out shopping in New York on Saturday
Wearing a white bucket hat, the actress wore her long dark hair out and down and it fell in waves around her face.
She kept her make up minimal with a slick of lip gloss and a touch of blusher.
Her outfit included a pair of Daisy Dukes with a lose fitted silk snake print sweatshirt.
The actress was out alone in the city, and seemed to struggle to raise even the glimmer of a grin
Demi wore a pair of tan sandals as she walked through the streets, her black handbag slung across her body.
Keeping incognito, she had a pair of round sunglasses on.
It appeared it may have been a bit windy when she went for her stroll as she gripped onto her hat.
Lost in thought: It could have been the stress of the death of a 21-year-old man in the pool at her Los Angeles home was getting to her
Demi's slender legs and slim figure were on display in her outfit, and she is clearly very proud of her body, quite rightly, which most women half her age would be delighted to have.
The brunette was shopping for skincare products at the Georgia Louise salon in the city.
She has been having a break in the Big Apple with her daughters Scout, 24, and 21-year-old Tallulah.
It seems they were able to keep any stress at bay as when she was seen out with them on Thursday she managed to raise a laugh and a smile.
Pins on parade: The 52-year-old actress had her legs on display in her favoured Daisy Dukes
However it was a different story on Saturday, when she appeared a lot more serious.
She was said to be 'in absolute shock' when she heard the news 21-year-old Edenilson Steven Valle had died, drowning in the pool at her home, after a party had been held there by her assistant.
In a statement straight after the incident the actress said: 'I am in absolute shock. I was out of the country travelling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news.
Blown away: She had to hang onto her bucket hat as the breeze blew her long brunette locks around her face
She added that the incident was an: 'unthinkable tragedy, and my heart goes out to this young man's family and friends.'
Los Angeles police have since confirmed that no-one from Demi's family was present when the body was found at the mansion in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Now out of the area again, Demi and her family have been accused of not draining the water in the pool.
Summertime stroll: She had been shopping for skincare products at Georgia Louise
TMZ published aerial photos of the home showing the pool still filled with the same water that the young man had drowned in after a Saturday night bash.
The site claimed that according to local law, there are no rules requiring pools to be drained or even cleaned in the event of a fatality.
Even in public pools, disinfection only has to be carried out if blood, vomit, feces or indeed a corpse are found within; draining a pool is never a requirement, even in those circumstances.
