99 problems but a bag ain't one! Gwyneth Paltrow markets $1,700 handbags featuring the names of her favorite rappers Jay-Z, Eminem, Tupac, and Biggie

Gwyneth Paltrow is a huge hip-hop fan.

Don't believe her? Well the Shakespeare in Love star, 42, just debuted two exclusive new bags on her Goop site, and they both pay tribute to some of her favorite rap stars.

The Edie Parker x Goop collaboration features two clutches, one of which gives shout-outs to Jay-Z and Eminem, while the other spotlights Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls - and they're selling for a whopping $1,695 each.

The made-to-order acrylic clutches are sold exclusively on her website and take up to eight weeks for delivery.

The first one, a black version of the designer's popular Flavia clutch, says 'Shady' and 'Hov' in gold and silver on opposite sides, referencing Eminem and her friend Jay-Z. The actress - who has called Jay-Z 'incredible' - has been spotted hanging out with him and his wife, Beyonce, on several occasions, and the couples have even shared family time together.

'I think my son [Moses] would like to be more like Uncle Jay!' she told South Africa's Fair Lady magazine last year. 'He asked me the other day how he can look more like Uncle Jay. I said I would have to think about it!'

The other clutch, which has a blue, swirly design, includes the names 'Biggie' and 'Pac' - a peculiar choice, as the two '90s rappers had an infamously explosive feud, which many people speculate played a part in their untimely deaths.

Forget something? Paying tribute to the two rappers on the same bag was an interesting choice, as their infamous feud epitomized the decade's battle between East Coast and West Coast hip-hop

Famous friends: Gwyneth's choice of shouting out to Jay-Z, however, is not a surprise, as she has spoken out in the past about being friends with him and his wife, Beyonce

But while Edie Parker's Flavia clutch is customizable by design - shoppers can also put their own names on the bag when buying from the designer's website - Gwyneth snagged the unique twist of getting words on both sides of the glitzy accessory.

However, Gwyneth genuine effort to convey her love of hip-hop has left some people scratching their heads, with many critics even taking to social media to poke fun at her.

'Is it just me or are these pearly Gwyneth hip-hop clutches the EPITOME of basic?' wrote one Twitter user, while another said: 'Hahahahha oh Gwyneth you're the worst.'

Many websites have also gleefully pointed out that putting '90s stars Tupac and Biggie on the same bag shows a distinct cluelessness, as the pair epitomized the decade's East Coast versus West Coast rap rivalry.

Freestyling: While putting rappers' names on her bags came as a surprise to some, Gwyneth has discussed her love of hip-hop in the past, and has even rapped on camera on more than one occasion

Still, the questionable decision does not erase the fact that this is hardly the first time that the star has expressed her love for the musical genre.

In 2011, she famously rapped NWA's Straight Outta Compton on the Graham Norton Show, and the next year she and her best friend Cameron Diaz made up their own lyrics for a tribute to Chelsea Handler.

Then, earlier this year, she went on The Tonight Show to sing Broadway versions of rap songs with host Jimmy Fallon. The star took on Nicki Minaj's Anaconda, Drake's Started from the Bottom, and Big Sean's I Don’t F*** with You.
