Leona Lewis channels 90s grunge as she shows off her flat tummy in grey crop top and ripped jeans for radio performance

She's largely seen as the nice girl of pop music - but Leona Lewis showed her edgier side when she rocked a Nineties vibe for a radio performance on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old Bleeding Love singer flashed a hint of her toned tummy as she arrived at the Sirius radio station in New York City, wearing a tight grey crop top.

She showed off her natural curves, teaming the number with a pair of dark skinny jeans which were ripped at the knees.

Adding a rock star twist to her look, she added a plaid shirt into the mix which she wore around her waist, completing the look with a faded denim jacket.

The PETA supporter wore a faux leather tasseled bag on her shoulder and showed off her perfect pedicure in peep-toe ankle boots.

Leona wore natural make-up for the outing, selecting a coral lipgloss and wore her ombre hair in relaxed curls.

She told the Telegraph earlier in the month: 'This new album is dedicated to the fans who have been with me from the start and the people in my life who picked me up when I needed it.

'I think they will enjoy what I think is "classic me". There are some torch songs, a couple of big ballads, and also soulfulness.

'The whole theme is empowerment and discovering the strength to be independent and do things on your own terms.'

Leona parted ways with Simon Cowell's Syco label last year in favour of Island records, but the Media Mogul told The Sun:

'I have a real soft spot for Leona for so many reasons. I'd say to her, and I genuinely mean this, that the door will always be left open... I'd welcome her with open arms.'
