He is getting set to star once again in his signature role Jason Bourne

So no wonder Matt Damon looked like he had just gone twelve rounds after leaving the gym dripping with sweat in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

His flawless wife Luciana was a startling contrast as they sauntered back to their car, as she was bone dry despite surely getting pumped just as hard as the hunk during their workout.

Matt was no doubt regretting not bringing another set of clothes, as his brown T-shirt and black shorts must have been mightily uncomfortable indeed.

To make matters worse his transparent attempt to go incognito by wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses failed to pay off.

Former barmaid Luciana meanwhile was as attractive as ever in a black top, leggings and smart grey trainers.

Despite his calvary afterwards Matt will have surely enjoyed pumping his muscles, especially as he previously admitted his Latina lovely wife loves it when his abdominals break free from his fat folds.

The star announced late last year he was returning as Jason Bourne alongside the original series director Paul Greengrass, who helmed The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum. It is set to come outin July 2016.

Matt became quite the roly poly gentleman after piling on a whopping 40 pounds to film The Informant.

Speaking about getting back into shape afterwards for his 2013 sci-fi turkey Elysium, he said, ‘It was really hard because I love to eat and I love to drink.

'I'm at the point in my life where somebody was silly enough to marry me and won't leave me if I put on a few pounds. It's very hard to motivate me to get in shape.

'I was like, “You like this guy too, don't you?” I'm trying to talk her into that guy.

'That's the guy I'm most comfortable being.’

Matt looked noticeably trimmer when he turned up to The Great Wall conference in Beijing, China in early July.

He also was wearing a healthy ponytail.

Damon looked more backpacker than Hollywood star as he greeted Chinese media with Andy Lau, Zhang Yimou, Jing Tian and Game of Thrones' Pedro Pascal.

Matt stars as a mercenary in search of treasure in the American-Chinese sci-fi action film which is set in 15th century China.

He and the cast have been busy filming in Beijing in recent months on 28 different sets, including on a fake Great Wall which was specially erected and is used as a weapon against otherworldly creatures in the movie.

The Good Will Hunting star has also been in the news this summer for giving best friend Ben Affleck a place to stay as he dealt with his impending divorce from Jennifer Garner.
