Rap star Flavor Flav fired his lawyer at the latest court hearing into him allegedly speeding to his mother's funeral while on a suspended license.

The reality television personality, real name William Drayton Jr, also said a felony charge for the offense was excessive during his appearance in Mineola, New York on Tuesday.

The Public Enemy star's court room theatrics did not seem to have the desired effect however, as he was told by the judge and prosecutor that a possible plea deal had been revoked.

He was allegedly was pulled over for driving 79 mph in a 55 mph zone, and police then discovered he had 16 license suspensions, all of which were a result of unpaid tickets.
