'Maybe you should go take a nap': Cara Delevingne blasted by breakfast TV show anchors after VERY awkward interview
Cara Delevingne has been jet-setting on a whirlwind tour to promote her latest film, the adaptation of John Green's popular novel Paper Towns.
And it seems the nonstop junkets have been getting to the 22-year-old, as the anchors of Good Day Sacramento didn't quite get to see her famously charming personality as she appeared on their show to discuss the movie.
Despite being tired Cara soldiered on at first, playfully responding to a series of pretty patronizing questions.
However, the anchors were not impressed with her sarcastic sense of humor and eventually called her out, cutting the interview short and even going so far as to suggest she 'take a little nap, maybe get a Red Bull.'

Awkward! Cara Delevingne's interview with Good Day Sacramento was cut short after the anchors blasted the star for her bad attitude
The interview begins with one of the bumbling anchors introducing the model as 'Carla,' foreboding the painfully awkward three minutes to follow.
She seems immediately thrown off following that misstep, and appears to plaster on a fake smile as she greets the anchors, who then ask if she was 'too busy' to read Paper Towns prior to taking on the role.
'Uh, no I never read the book, or the script. I kind of winged it,' she quips, before giving her actual answer to their question.
'Carla' Things were shaky right out of the gate as one of the anchors introduced Cara with the wrong name
She went on to reveal that she had of course read the book, gushing about how 'amazing' she thought it was.
'John Green is an incredible author, so really if you haven't read his books, you should,' Cara added in the cringe-worthy interview, which aired last week, following the New York premiere on July 21.
It only got worse as the news anchors wondered if Cara functioned better in the chaos of her busy life, meaning maybe she finds it easier to focus when her IMDb page is chock full.
Model behavior: Cara looked gorgeous in a sparkling silver mini dress with a daring cut-out as she arrived a the New York premiere of Paper Towns on July 21
Be the talk of the town in a metallic dress like Cara
After working the runway for Burberry, Lanvin, Chanel and Saint Laurent, it's no surprise that Cara Delevingne can work the red carpet like a master!
She stunned at the New York premier of Paper Towns donning a silver slashed wrap dress and metallic sandals.
Not only is the slashed dress beautifully textured but we appreciate her temerity in pairing silver with silver.
Who is this gorgeous dress by you ask? Saint Laurent is the mastermind behind the piece and it's no surprise since the designer has created multiple metallic pieces in the past.
As much as we love the dress, it is unavailable. The good news is you can shop Saint Laurent's ready to wear collection at Net-a-Porter.

'I kind of winged it' Cara joked that she hadn't even read the script when she was asked if she had time to read Paper Towns before starring in the movie
Busy: When the busy star was asked if she found it easier to focus when her schedule was full she immediately scoffed, saying: 'No. I don't know where that comes from'
The blonde beauty scoffed at this suggestion, immediately shooting it down with: 'No, I don't know where that comes from. No.'
However, she admitted that while it is 'crazy,' it's 'not that hard' because she's working at something she's wanted since she was a little girl.
'I'm living my dream,' she laughed to herself, while the anchors had already begun talking among themselves about their next questions.
Living the dream: Cara joked to herself as the news anchors moved on to their next question about Paper Towns
It was not surprising then, after she had been cut off in finishing her answer to the previous question, when Cara was less than impressed with the inquiry regarding her character Margo.
'Do you have anything in common with her [Margo]?' Cara was asked, to which she joked: 'No, I actually hate her.'
Afterwards she admitted that she had connected to the character because in reading the script she came across lines that she herself had said before, amid other 'weird coincidences like that.'
Connected: The model admitted that she and her character were connected by 'weird coincidences,' but only after first joking of Paper Town's Margo, 'I actually hate her'
'Are you just exhausted?' Unimpressed with Cara's answer in response to her connection to character Margo, a third anchor jumped in and called the star out on her attitude
After that response, a third anchor jumped in and called Cara out on her attitude, noting that she had sounded 'more excited' in previous interviews.
'Are you just exhausted?' he asked a surprised Cara, who seemed a bit taken off-guard by the question.
'The premiere was last night. It was a very emotional night, felt like the end of an era,' she said, adding: 'But I'm not any less excited than I was a couple of weeks ago.'
Cara tried to play it off, also reminding the anchors that she could have had a bit more energy before as 'it is the morning.'
Shocked: Cara seemed genuinely surprised by the call out, and tried to play it off and continue with the interview, ensuring everyone she was still excited about Paper Towns, but it was just early in the day
Couldn't let it go: However, the anchors pressed the issue, calling the actress 'a bit irritated,' and suggested they end the interview so she could 'go take a little nap, maybe get a Red Bull'
However, they simply would not let it go, with another anchor noting that the actress seemed 'a bit irritated,' before adding: 'perhaps it's just us.'
At that, Cara quipped: 'Yeah, yeah, I think it's just you,' and the anchors proceeded to cut the interview short.
'We'll let you go take a little nap, maybe get a Red Bull, how about that?' one anchor suggested, as the other two laughed.
Cara, however, was not pleased with their ribbing, as she could be heard quietly saying 'Too far,' before her video feed cut out.
'Too far' She seemed visibly upset after the anchors' comments, and could be heard quietly saying: 'Hey now... too far' ahead of her video feed cutting out
Out of here: The morning show was left showing bars as Cara ducked out following patronizing comments that she should 'take a nap'
'She was in a mood!' one of the anchors shouted as soon as the star was out of sight, as all three discussed her appearance.
Another remarked: 'But still - you make five million dollars for six weeks worth of work, you can pretend to talk to Good Day Sacramento with some umph!'
They proceeded to make fun of the star, even putting on a British accent to mock how cheerful they believe she had been in previous interviews.
Not having it: One anchor blasted Cara when he believed she wasn't 'excited' enough, later noting: 'you make five million dollars for six weeks worth of work, you can pretend to talk to Good Day Sacramento with some umph!'
Rude: The anchors proceeded to mock Cara on air following the star's departure from the interview, with one even putting on a British accent to try and imitate what he believed to be more positive interviews of hers
The uncomfortable interview comes as quite a surprise, because while Cara is somewhat new to acting - she'll next be starring alongside Jared Leto, Will Smith, and Margot Robbie in 2016's Suicide Squad - she's one of the most in-demand fashion models of the moment.
She's spent the last four years modeling for brands such as Burberry, Chanel, DKNY, and Top Shop, and appearing on the covers of magazines, so she's certainly familiar with the process.
To be fair, the quick-witted star - who is currently dating indie-songstress St Vincent - is known for her wry, and sometimes silly sense of humor, which the news team likely had just not prepared for.
Seasoned pro: Though relatively new to movies, Cara is already a bonafide star, having spent the last four years establishing herself as a top model (pictured at the Saint Laurent show for Paris Fashion Week in 2014)
In Paper Towns, Cara plays the mysterious Margo, who also happens to be the object of Quentin's (Nat Wolff) affection.
The film - penned by The Fault In Our Stars writer John Green - sees a young man called Quentin and his friends head out on the road trip of their lives to find the missing girl from next door.
Directed by Jake Schreier, the film has so-far received strong critical approval and is sure to be a summer must-see when it hits cinemas in the UK on August 17.
