Love is in the air! Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd put their affection on show during romantic stroll in Beverly Hills

They met as pro dancers on Dancing With The Stars and, after a lengthy separation, rekindled their romance earlier this year.

There was no denying Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd's affection for one another as they enjoyed a loved-up stroll in Beverly Hills, California on Tuesday.

Maksim, 35, kept Peta, 29, close by his side, hugging her around the shoulders and sometimes clutching her hand in his.

At one point, Maksim leaned over as though to whisper in Peta's ear while she continued to look ahead.

Maksim, who retired from Dancing With The Stars last year following his win with Olympian Meryl Davis in May 2014, was still in amazing shape.

He was wearing a white T-shirt that clearly outlined his muscular chest and biceps, along with faded denim jeans and trainers.

Peta, a New Zealander who joined the ABC dancing competition show in 2011, was a summery sight in a flowing low-cut dress with spaghetti straps and an ankle-trailing hem, which she had tied up in a knot to allow for easier walking.

Sandals and a brown leather shoulder bag completed her outfit, which her light blonde hair was gathered up in a hassle-free bun.

Maks and Peta quietly re-sparked their romance at the start of this year, managing to avoid the spotight.

Although their relationship seems to be thriving now, they hit a rough patch in 2013 after dating for about a year.

Following that split in early 2013, Maks did not waste much time, dating Kate Upton for six months before being linked to Jennifer Lopez.
