Though known for her skills on the catwalk, Alessandra Ambrosio is branching out, establishing her business acumen with swimsuit line, Ale by Alessandra.

And on Wednesday the 34-year-old modeled a striking patterned monokini from her line in an Instagram snap promoting another upcoming project, a role on late-night soap Verdades Secretas.

'Home away from home,' the star captioned the dreamy picture, as she admired the scenic ocean views.

The revealing suit highlighted the model's slim midriff and toned pins as she could be seen lounging on her deck overlooking the ocean.

She covered her long, brunette tresses in a stylish, wide-brimmed sun hat, and hid her eyes behind a pair of colorful, wayfarer-style sunglasses.

In the caption, Alessandra directed fans to Style.com, with whom she spoke of her upcoming TV role, admitting that while she was a force to be reckoned with in the modeling world, she was a bit nervous about trying her hand at acting.

'I have a small role, but acting requires a lot of studying and dedication,' she said. 'I was very flattered to be invited to work on this series with such great actors who I grew up admiring.'

In the series Alessandra will play Samia, 'a top model-slash-trophy girlfriend of a powerful businessman.'

Later that same day Alessandra was spotted sipping on a cold beverage to beat the summer heat.

The lithe brunette had been in Rome over the weekend shooting a winter-themed campaign for Victoria's Secret, despite the heat of the Italian summer.

And if her business trip to shoot the racy 2015 Holiday campaign for the famous lingerie brand had taken its toll on her, the effortlessly cool model managed to hide it well.

On an action-packed trip to the Italian capital's Cinecitta Studios, Alessandra was joined by the likes of Stella Maxwell, Martha Hunt, Elsa Hosk and Romee Strijd.

And while much of the shoot has remained under wraps, the stunning group were seen strutting their stuff and flaunting their legs as they strode through the studio in heels and robes.

Alessandra, who has been with the brand for 10 years, was joined by the four blonde newcomers as the famous brand geared up for another campaign.

But while she may have stylishly brushed away the stress of trans-Atlantic travel, the model was not immune to the affects of jet-lag.

Snapping a selfie later on in the day, Alessandra looked subdued and tired, as she emphasised her tired state in a baggy black and white hoodie that bore the slogan 'jet lagged'.

Captioning the snap 'Monday mood,' she included a big 'Zzz' emoji to just make it clear that her continent-hopping jaunt had been a thoroughly rigorous affair.
