They could be sisters! Reese Witherspoon, 39, and 15-year-old daughter Ava look more like siblings while on shopping trip

There was no mistaking the fact Reese Witherspoon and her daughter Ava shared the same gene pool when they were seen out on a shopping trip.

The actress and her blonde 15-year-old were the spitting image of each other as they wandered along the street in Los Angeles.

In fact youthful looking Reese, 39, could have been mistaken for her daughter's sister with the pair wearing almost identical mirrored sunglasses in similar shades and their long blonde locks out and down.

The star wore a cream denim skirt and white trainers with a stripey tank, while her daughter had on a gingham black and white skirt with short boots.

The twosome even wore similar expressions, however Ava looked slightly more downcast than her mother.

But there was no mistaking her nose and face shape which was almost identikit to her mum's.

Earlier in the day Reese demonstrated the versatility of her preppy white tank top following a workout.

She first arrived to the gym sporting the shirt with a pair of jean shorts, which she later ditched for her cream skirt.

Reese flashed a relaxed smile when she emerged from the workout facility, glued to her phone.

So nice she wore it twice! Reese was seen mixing up her summery look following a workout in West Hollywood earlier on Wednesday

She added a glamorous touch to the look with a long gold necklace, however sported the same pair of pristine white trainers.

The actress shaded her eyes with blue mirrored sunglasses and carried a tan leather handbag.

Reese also clutched a nourishing post-workout snack in her hand.

It was a different look to Tuesday as the Legally Blonde actress strutted in five-inch heels and figure-hugging white jeans as she visited her office in Beverly Hills.

Reese has been very busy nurturing her Draper James enterprise - which offers fashion, accessories and home décor inspired by the American South.

Earlier this week, the Wild actress shared a video of her visit to the company's Blue Ridge, Georgia factory, where workers create three styles of denim jeans sold on her website.

Reese Witherspoon traded in her trademark ladylike attire for a more casual getup when she was spotted out and about in West Hollywood.

The Hot Pursuit star went for a striped sleeveless top and denim shorts which she paired with a tan shoulder bag and Puma sneakers.

'The south has a long history of making denim,' Reese said in the video, adding that her goal was, 'whenever possible, that we could make the clothes in the United States.'

The brand which launched in May and is named after her grandparents - Dorothea Draper and William James - has been doing well, selling more than $100K in product even without a flagship live store.

The official store will open in Nashville later this year.
