Some say she is on her way to being a very modern day icon.

So it would make sense Kim Kardashian would dress as some of history's most famous women for her new beverage commercial.

The short film commercial, which is from Hype Energy drink, sees Kim appear to channel Audrey Hepburn, Marie Antoinette and Barbarella.

Picture perfect: Kim Kardashian looks flawless in her new film clip for energy drink Hype

The film opens with one of the most recognisable faces on the planet sporting bangs and a high ponytail as she goes for a bike ride with a basket full of cans.

The 34-year-old reality star is seen cycling along a path with an urban background of a large mural featuring a close up of a pair of eyes.

Kim, who is dressed in a skintight black ensemble, looks at the camera, and probably should have kept her eyes on the road, as the next moment the clip cuts to the cans of energy drink rolling around on the floor.

Channelling Audrey Hepburn in her Funny Face movie, she wears pedal pushers, a black turtleneck and round toe pumps.

A close up shot of her flawless face follows, her lips parted slightly as she is seen lying with her eyes shut.

The impression is given that Kim has been knocked unconscious – and she is having a dream.

Is it real? As the star opens her eyes, the scene changes

The music, which had previously been heavy guitar music with a rock feel, switches to strings in minor keys, and the camera begins to pan over what appears to be acres of lace.

As it moves up what is a woman’s body, we see a pale skinned hand encased in a delicately embroidered fingerless glove.

It is Kim, looking very different, her face covered in white powder make-up. Her lips are barely seen with just a hint of blush rose colour.

Historical: She appears to be dressed as Marie Antoinette

Delicate: The clothes she wears in the clip are from the original period

No mistaking it's Kim! The camera pans down her body and lingers on her decolletage

The star, dressed as the 18th century Queen of France, Marie Antoinette, is asleep, her eyelashes showing traces of white dust, and her eyelids with just a hint of taupe shadow.

Kim’s eyebrows are barely seen in the washed out look.

The only colour is in her cheeks, which appear flushed with rouge.

Her eyelids flicker, and she stirs from her slumber.

She wears a white wig, the colour of snow and looks like candy floss.

Kim’s voluptuous chest appears to spill out of the bodice of the dress, which is reminiscent of the time period, and she holds a pink fan made out of ostrich feathers in her hand.

The camera goes in for another close up, and pans slowly back down across her décolletage and heaving bosom.

More demure: In another scene she is seen wearing a high necked beaded and embroidered bodice

Attention to detail: The handiwork made the clothing very delicate

It then cuts to another shot Kim is seen wearing a high necked heavily beaded bodice, which is teamed with a plum coloured elegant frock coat of the period.

Heavy lace sleeves and be seen underneath her outfit, and she wear and pair of black and white striped boots.

With the melodic string music still playing in the background, the camera cuts back to Kim lying asleep on the mint coloured chaise longue.

Her eyes slowly flutter open and she raises a crystal glass to her lips, which is full of a pale coloured Hype energy drink.

Taking a languid, long sip, she glances back to the camera and appears to offer the liquid to the viewer.

More panoramic shots follow of Kim reclining on the sofa. The clip then cuts back to Kim waking up, back in her Audrey Hepburn garb, with a close up of her face.

She sits up and clutches the sides of her head, showing off her gigantic engagement ring.

As she gets up and is seen wheeling her bike away, the short film cuts to Kim doing a futuristic fashion shoot.

One look sees her wearing a short wavy wig, with a T-shirt dress on featuring a robot, and a loose fitted beige jacket.

Minimal: She wears her hair slicked back off her face in one frame

All on show: She is seen in a skintight white outfit which shows off every curve

Shake it off: The star also wears a black PVC micro mini dress

She wears a pair of thigh high lace up stiletto boots.

Kim is also seen in a black skintight micro mini dress, and a white below the knee number that clings to every curve.

The star has her hair in cornrow braids in a Barbarella style gold plunging bodysuit.

The styling for the film was done by Rushka Bergman, who styled the star for L’Uomo Vogue.

21st century girl: The futuristic style shows off her figure

Kim said of the collaboration at the launch of the commercial in Nashville in June: ‘She had this cool concept of me being iconic characters like Audrey Hepburn, and so we made this little commercial.’

Her favourite look was the Marie Antoinette character – the reason Kim was no doubt standing so still was because her garments were actually from the era.

She said: ‘We had authentic clothes from hundreds of years ago. They were so delicate and we had to be so careful putting them on. It was so fascinating seeing the fashion behind it.’
