He's quite the hands-on dad but a wayward pram caused a momentary drama for celebrity chef Curtis Stone when he took his son Emerson out the weekend.

The 39-year-old husband to Lindsay Price was spotted pushing their 10-month-old in a stroller on an LA street, when he lost control of the pram for a split second.

Wearing a basic white tee and bright red pants, the Aussie family man was pictured making a quick two-step dash as he went after the stroller in West Hollywood.

The exertion later appeared to have taken its toll on the former Celebrity Apprentice star as he was also seen wiping sweat from his brow outside upscale kitchen store Table Art.

The TV personality is frequently seen out in his adopted hometown of LA with his family - Emerson, his eldest son Hudson, 3, and his American actress wife, 38.

Last month the family were photographed enjoying a beach day at Venice Beach in California. And last week, the foursome spent the day seaside again.

Home shop: Curtis stopped inside upscale kitchen store Table Art in Hollywood to browse the homewares

The Melbourne-born chef uploaded a snap of his beautiful wife and two boys to Instagram, captioning it: 'The 4 loves of my life @lindsayjprice my kids and the beach'.

Curtis and Lindsay, who is best known for her role on Beverly Hills 90210, began dating in late 2009, and married in 2013.

In the past, the pair have said they are extremely conscious of what they feed their children.

The affable Aussie told Lisa Wilkinson on the Today Show: 'We don’t take [Hudson] to fast food joints, we don’t eat a lot of processed food, but I take him for tacos sometimes, we go for cheesecake or a bowl of ice cream.'

'I think you can make better choices as a parent,' he said. 'If you give in quickly and say "alright, if you don't want your veggies let's give you something else" you're not going to starve your kids.

'If you make your kids go a little longer without a meal, I don't think it's the worst thing in the world.'
