Britain's borders trampled underfoot: Calls to send in the Army as hundreds of migrants storm fences around Calais Channel Tunnel entrance for THIRD night running - desperate to clamber on trains bound for Kent, whatever the cost

As David Cameron preaches about slave labour, migrants besiege Channel Tunnel

Hundreds of migrants laid siege to the Channel Tunnel for the third night running last night, as they stormed fences (pictured) and desperately tried to clamber on trains bound for Kent. Senior MPs, backed by hauliers, said the British Army should be sent in to restore order because the French authorities had 'lost control' as the Calais illegal immigrant crisis escalated dramatically. It comes as one migrant - a Sudanese man in his 20s or early 30s - slipped as he tried to get underneath a train inside the high-security zone surrounding the undersea link in the early hours of yesterday morning when 1,500 attempted to get across. On Monday night, more than 2,000 illegal immigrants tried to break through the Tunnel entrance, prompting an urgent security review which saw more than 120 police officers drafted in to secure the terminals.

Why the French ARE to blame for Calais migrant crisis: LEO MCKINSTRY says Prime Minister is wrong, we should point fingers directly at France as disaster unfolds on their soil

Malaysia 'almost certain' MH370 has been found: Investigators are despatched to Indian Ocean island to prove washed-up wing flap belongs to Boeing 777 in a bid to solve mystery of the doomed jet

Malaysia 'almost certain' MH370 has been found: Investigators are despatched to Indian

Deputy Transport Minister Abdul Aziz Kaprawi made the announcement after air crash investigators yesterday said they have 'a high degree of confidence' the wreckage came from that type of aircraft. The discovery fuelled hopes in Malaysia and across the globe that one of aviation history's greatest mysteries could move closer to being solved. Aviation investigators are now heading to the island to verify the findings after identifying the six-foot long piece of debris as a 'flaperon' from the edge of a plane's wing. Mr Kaprawi said: 'It is almost certain that the flaperon is from a Boeing 777 aircraft. Our chief investigator here told me this.'

Map prepared by oceanographers ONE YEAR year ago eerily predicted MH370 debris would wash up on obscure island off Madagascar

MH370 map prepared by University of Western Australia oceanographers one year ago

A chart created by oceanographers one year ago (pictured main) predicted debris from missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 could end up on the island of La Reunion. Aviation experts say it is entirely possible a piece of airplane debris found on the island (pictured inset), located off the coast of Madagascar and about 5,600km (3,500 miles) from the MH370 search site, belongs to the doomed plane. Oceanographers from the University of Western Australia (UWA) say the location of the newly-discovered aircraft debris is 'entirely consistent' with a graphic they created 12 months ago showing the potential drift patterns of the missing plane.

Revealed: The agonising last hours of an exhausted and horrifically maimed lion king - and one man's deadly vanity that led to its trophy killing

Cecil the lion's last hours and Walter Palmer's vanity

He was named Cecil after Cecil Rhodes, the British mining magnate, having first been spotted in 2008 at a place called White Man's Watering Hole inside Zimbabwe's famous Hwange National Park. But he was tricked earlier this month into leaving his sanctuary after pieces of meat were left as a trail. Horrifically maimed by an arrow fired by American dentist Walter Palmer (inset), Cecil managed to stay alive for 40 hours. But Palmer, assisted by other hunters and guides, eventually caught up with the exhausted animal after following its trail of blood. The so-called King of the Jungle was then shot dead, skinned and his head hacked off for a trophy. Professional hunter Theo Bronkhorst (top left) and local landowner Honest Ndlovu (bottom left) allegedly assisted Palmer.

Animal rights campaigners launched a petition calling on the Prime Minister to strip him of his knighthood because of his participation in the hunts. It comes after US dentist Walter Palmer, 55, from Minnesota, went into hiding over the death of Cecil, a famous lion in Zimbabwe.
