Her career in front of the camera has made her hourglass figure a magnet for attention.

But on Tuesday, Jenny McCarthy's towering footwear instead stole the spotlight when she stepped out in NYC with an armful of baggage.

The 42-year-old, who also returned to her signature hair colour of blonde after a go with pink, appeared to be in chipper spirits when she flashed a friendly wave while wearing what appeared to be her husband's grey beanie.

Jenny McCarthy stepped out in New York City with a new edgy look.

The 42-year-old had no fear of taking things to a new level, donning an unusual pair of studded platform boots.

Although we're in the middle of July, we're not quite sure why Jenny is dressed in fall attire but the actress wore a gray beanie, slashed tights, a black jacket and a graphic tee.

Aside from us noticing her clothing for the wrong season, we couldn't help but wonder who the maker of these unusual boots are.

We did some investigating and learned that it's none other than Jeffrey Campbell.

Jenny appeared to embrace a punk wardrobe for the occasion.

A knitted beanie was snugly wrapped over her curly strands, while an edgy black blazer and tight ripped jeans finished off the effect.

The former MTV star contrasted the look with a vibrant slick of strawberry hued lipstick, as well as a light shade of pink nail polish.

Jenny grinned as she lugged several items of luggage towards her car with the help of her entourage.

Though it was uncertain exactly where Jenny was headed, the actress and her husband have been capturing their relocation from the Big Apple to St. Charles, Illinois on the second season of their docu-series, Donnie Loves Jenny.

'The difference between St. Charles, Illinois, and New York City, in my mind is it’s just a much slower pace...It’s like where kids can walk around the neighborhood and not get kidnapped or molested,' Jenny said on the show.

As of late, Jenny has been busy promoting the second season of her A&E program, which also stars her husband of nearly one year.

The show premiered its second season earlier in July.

Back in February, the reality star said she was ready to become Mrs. Jenny Wahlberg, however her husband seemed to disagree.

'It should be Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg and professionally, Jenny McCarthy,' Wahlberg told E! News.

'She worked her a** off for so many years to be in the position she's in her career that there's no reason to put my name on the back of that.'

Due to conflicting schedules McCarthy has not had the chance to file the paper work in order to have her name legally changed.

'We work seven days a week and it's not as easy as I thought,' McCarthy said. 'You don't just go to the DMV and take a new picture. There is a lot to be done.'
