Katie Holmes dresses down in plaid red shirt and ripped boyfriend jeans as she tries to hail taxi in New York
Actress Katie Holmes was obviously in a hurry while out in New York City on Tuesday.
While most stars would have a car service and driver on call, the dressed-down Holmes blended in with the bustling Manhattan crowd as she tried to hail a yellow taxi.
The Ray Donovan actress, 36, was dressed casually in a cute black-and-red pyjamas-inspired shirt, which she paired with ripped boyfriend jeans.

The actress appeared to be losing patience as she waited for a taxi in large black sunglasses and white Adidas sneakers.
Instead of a luxury handbag, Holmes wore a fun silver backpack with red stars, and held her smartphone as stood in the street.
The former Dawson's Creek star wore her brunette hair pushed back in a simple ponytail.

With a red plaid shirt and coll looking backpack,Katie looked effortlessly cool as she ran errands in the city, her classic sneakers providing both style and comfort.

She accessorized with leather and gold bracelets, and wore a simple pendant necklace.
The silver backpack may have been a nod to Holmes' stylish daughter Suri, 9, whom she had with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Holmes divorced the Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation star in 2012, after six years of marriage, and is now reportedly dating actor Jaime Foxx.
The actress currently can be seen in season three of gritty Showtime drama Ray Donovan, playing the chic but calculating Paige Finney.
