She's a blue belle! Eva Longoria steps out in clingy dress and sky high heels at premiere of Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet in LA

She may not have had a starring role, but it didn't stop Eva Longoria coming out in support of fellow Latina Salma Hayek's passion project.

The actress was at the premiere the film GKIDS 'Kahlil Gibran's the Prophet.'

Held at the Bing Theatre, in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Wednesday, Salma produced and voiced one of the key characters on the animated movie.

Eva looked gorgeous wearing her hair styled in a chic top knot.

Dressed in a royal blue figure hugging royal blue frock, which featured a white a black stripe detail, the 40-year-old actress had pink lipstick and lashings of mascara. 

Eva wore a beautiful diamond and sapphire pendant.

She finished her look with a pair of sky high stiletto heels with a pointed toe and carried her oversized clutch and coat under her arm.

Eva posed alongside Salma at the event - the pair have met a a number of functions over the years on the red carpet.

They also starred in a photo shoot together in 2012.  

Shot for Latina magazine, the 15th anniversary issue also featured Zoe Saldana and Selena Gomez. 

Salma was of course the star of the show, looking beautiful in a black wrap dress which featured a tuxedo style plunging neckline, 

She teamed her frock with a pair of sky high Gucci sandals.

The actress wore her hair slicked back off her face in a sophisticated half up half down style, the 48-year-old actress looked radiant.

With her make-up minimal, she wore a pair of understated diamond earrings. 

And it meant all eyes were drawn to her diamond encrusted brooch, which was in the shape of a giant safety with a large diamond tear drop shaped cluster.  

The film is based on the book The Prophet, by famous Lebanese poet Kahlil Gibran.

It was introduced at Cannes and made its North American premiere in Toronto this year,

The movie tells the story of Mustafa,

Salma told Reuters at the launch of the film in April in Beirut: 'Through this book I got to know my grandfather, through this book I got to have my grandfather teaching me about life.'

She added: 'For me this is a love letter to my heritage.'

Salma and her father visited her grandfather's village Baabdat to discover her roots, in what she said was an emotional journey. 

'Between all the connections of our ancestors and the memories of the ones that are no longer with us, I hope they are proud of this film because I did it also for them.'

The actress also visited Gibran's birthplace, Bcharre village.
