Disgraced Josh Duggar and his wife Anna made another public appearance on Wednesday as they enjoyed a dinner out as a family, taking the time to pose for a photo with their new daughter Meredith Grace.

The 27-year-old, who has been lying low since details of his molestation scandal broke, returned to social media last week following the birth of his fourth child. However, the snapshot that was taken on their recent outing was shared on his parents Jim Bob and Michelle's family Facebook account.

'Picture of our sweetest new granddaughter Meredith Grace with her mommy and daddy,' they captioned the picture of the smiling couple and their yawning baby.

And despite the recent controversy the Duggar family has faced in recent weeks, Jim Bob and Michelle continue to be proud grandparents.

The day before their dinner date with Josh and Anna, the patriarchs also shared a photo of their pregnant 22-year-old daughter Jessa, who is expecting her first child with husband Ben Seewald, 20, on November 1.

'We are so excited that there's a sweet little grandbaby in the oven!' they captioned the picture, which shows Jessa wearing a cooking apron that reads 'Mrs. Seewald'.

The mother-to-be is sweetly posed with her hands in a heart shape over her stomach.

Jessa also shared the photo of herself on her Instagram account over the weekend, revealing that she was whipping up Amy Cornett's Super Easy Pretzel Cheesecake, one of her favorite desserts.

While Jessa has remained active on social media, her brother Josh has shied away from the spotlight until recently.

Last Thursday he returned to Instagram to announce Meredith's arrival nine day's after Anna's due date.

According to Josh, the little girl weighed in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces and 20-1/2 inches long.

'Anna and Meredith are resting & doing well!' he wrote.

Josh's parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar immediately shared a video welcoming the arrival of their latest grandchild on their website DuggarFamily.com.

'Anna did an amazing job though labor,' Michelle said as she and Jim Bob stand in the living room of their Arkansas home.

A dad again: Josh, 27, the oldest of the 19 Duggar kids, has been keeping a very low profile since it was revealed in May that he molested several underage girls, including two of his sisters, when he was a teen

'We are just rejoicing with Josh and Anna. Meredith Grace is beautiful and Mackynzie, Michael and Marcus are just loving having their little sister here.'

Jessa also took to Instagram to share a photo of her 'beautiful niece'.

The new baby will no doubt be welcomed as something positive to celebrate for the Duggar clan.

Just three days ago, TLC officially announced that it was canceling the reality series 19 Kids And Counting following the revelations about Josh fondling underage girls including sisters Jill and Jessa when he was a teen.

Filming on the show had been suspended since TLC pulled reruns from its network in May.

That means that Meredith Grace is the first of the couple's four children not to have her birth documented by camera crews.

Josh and Anna, also 27, married in 2008, the year the series focused on Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar began airing.

They have a daughter Mackynzie born in 2009 and two sons, Michael born in 2011 and Marcus born in 2013.

The arrival of another granddaughter also makes Duggar patriarch Jim Bob's 50th birthday on Saturday more special.

Meredith Grace is Jim Bob's fifth grandchild.

In what or may not be a coincidence, when Josh and Anna appeared on NBC's Today show in 2009 to announce their first child was going to be a daughter, host Meredith Viera had joked with the couple that they should call their first child after her.

While Josh's parents had decided to name all 19 of their children with names beginning with J, Josh said they were thinking of naming their children with names beginning with M.

The new social media pictures are the first sight of the Duggar's eldest son in weeks.

He last posted a picture of himself three weeks ago when he shared a photo of the couple celebrating Anna's birthday.

Prior to that he was seen in a short Instagram video standing with his arm around his wife as he wished Jim Bob a happy Father's Day on June 21.

That marked the first time he made any public comments since issuing a statement on May 21 apologizing for his 'inexcusable' actions as a teenager.

Since the initial news broke, however, more and more information has been uncovered about the way the whole affair was handled by Josh's parents.

The Duggars were not as cooperative as they could have been back in 2006 when authorities learned what had happened years before.

In that case they failed to produce their son for an interview, though other family members spoke with police.

Josh's sisters Jill and Jessa were both victims of their brother's molestation.

But in a tearful appearance on Fox News the two defended their brother and largely downplayed what went on, calling the inappropriate touching ‘subtle’ and 'mild.'

Earlier this month, it was also claimed that Josh and his family may be heading to court as a victim of his molestation is reportedly planning to file a civil suit.

InTouch reported that the individual is a non-Duggar victim, and according to a law enforcement insider, is not happy with the way the family presented the scandal to the media after it was revealed what Josh had done to minor girls as a teenager.

'This whole sordid affair with Josh rattled a lot of people, including the victim, who had to relive this nightmare all over again all while watching Josh's parents go on TV and whitewash what happened,' InTouch quoted a law enforcement insider as saying.
