And on Tuesday as Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe and her beau Shawn Booth took a break from their round of whirlwind publicity appointments, it seemed the romance just kept on coming for the happy pair.

The 30-year-old former dance instructor was spotted out in New York with her fiancé, who gave her a piggyback ride around Manhattan.

She finished off her outfit with a black cropped top and trilby hat.

The nail-biting live finale of the show came from Los Angeles on Monday, and she admitted from the start that she was in love with both of her final two suitors.

During the show they were seen being introduced to Kaitlyn's family, and going on their final date together.

Shawn admitted he first noticed witty Kaitlyn on TV when she was rejected by Chris Soules in the 19th season of The Bachelor, and jokingly sent his friends a picture of her saying: 'Don't worry Kaitlyn, I'm coming for you'.

It seems he got his wish - and his wife-to-be.

Connecticut-native Shawn, told the dancer as he got down on one knee: 'I fall more and more in love with you every time I see you. I see a best friend, a partner-in-crime. You have already made me the happiest guy in the world. I love you so much.'

Kaitlyn accepted the 6ft 2in hunk's proposal, telling him in return: 'The truth is you light me up and you make me laugh and most importantly you allow me to be myself. '
