Lady Gaga hasn't yet tied the knot but her fiance is already showering her with gifts, recently adding a rare and costly haul to her designer collection.

Actor Taylor Kinney, 34, scooped all three pairs of Alexander McQueen's iconic Armadillo boots for his wife-to-be at a Christie's New York auction, splashing out a staggering £190,000.

Lady Gaga's recent acquisition of the extremely rare and unique trio of boots has been the envy of many.

Auctioned by Christie's New York in aid of UNICEF, the Armadillo boots, handcrafted in Italy from python and wood, were featured in the late Lee Alexander McQueen's final Spring/Summer 2010 show.

The 29-year-old blonde famously wore a pair of the arched boots in her 2009 Bad Romance music video, but only this week is now able to call a pair - or three - her own.

Initially, Christie's didn't reveal the buyer, but the Born This Way singer took to Instagram to express her gratitude, stating: 'When a gift comes to you from Heaven photo by Taylor Kinney best fiancé ever.'

All three boots set Kinney back $295,000 (£189,000). The pair became engaged on Valentine's Day this year.

Kylie Jenner may have recently set tongues wagging for her revealing graduation outfit, but the opulent gifts received by the 17-year-old for the occasion were the real talking points.

Although the reality star never explicitly revealed who the gift-givers were, her posts on photo-sharing platform Snapchat revealed that she had received not one, but two, luxurious presents.

The first being a white gold Cartier Juste Un Clou bracelet - which resembles a nail - and retails at $7,300 (£5,300).

The second was the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date in gold and a diamond bezel, the ring around the watch face, which reportedly retails for more than $46,800 (£30,000).

Many questioned whether it was 25-year-old rapper boyfriend Tyga, who had presented the star with the gifts.

In early June, rapper Kanye West celebrated his 38th birthday, and Kim Kardashian, 34, certainly spared no expense when it came to marking the day.

The pregnant reality star spent over $110,000 (£70,000) renting out the Staples Centre, the home of the Los Angeles Lakers, so her husband could play basketball with his favourite players, as well as a host of his A-list friends.

Attendees included singers Justin Bieber, 21, and John Legend, 36, as well as members of the Kardashian clan.

Which is exactly what Angelina Jolie, 40, bought husband Brad Pitt, 51, in September last year.

The Maleficent actress bought Pitt a 1952 Patek Philippe platinum chronometer - an extremely rare design from the Swiss watchmaker.

The grand romantic gesture became known, when Jolie had a friend take it to a shop to be inscribed, 'To Roly from Nessa' - characters that the two play in upcoming film, By The Sea - due to be released in November this year.

Although the famous pair were only married last year, they have been together since 2005 and have six children together.

And while Young may have presented his fiancée with a 10.43 carat sparkler, rapper Azalea is also known for bouts of generosity having only in December last year purchased a 1962 Chevrolet Impala for her beau.

The royal blue Christmas present would have set back the Australian Black Widow rapper between $30,000 and $200,000 (£19,000 and £128,000).
