Jodie Kidd works casual chic in floral blouse and dark jeans as she supports the Royal Navy… after admitting that Top Gear 'needs a woman's angle'

She recently admitted that she think Top Gear needs a ‘woman’s angle’.

And Jodie Kidd continued to prove that she could the perfect choice to become the first female co-host of the popular BBC show as she arrived at London’s Guildhall in a black Jaguar.

The former model was on hand to support fifteen sailors from the Royal Navy’s future Flagship, HMS Queen Elizabeth, on their cycle ride from Edinburgh on Wednesday.

Jodie, 36, looked stylish in a floral patterned blouse and moss green jeans which she teamed with matching studded sandals.

The blonde beauty shielded her eyes with large shades, while she left her long locks naturally straight.

Jodie has been one of the favourites to join BBC Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans on BBC motoring show, Top Gear, ever since Jeremy Clarkson was sacked for punching a producer earlier this year.

And it seems she is certainly open to the idea of working on the show as she revealed that she thinks they should ‘definitely’ hire a female presenter.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said: ‘Women are buying cars - it's the norm - so you need a woman's angle. Because we're different, men and women, and it's great to listen to a car expert who is a woman.’

The blonde beauty also insisted that if she were to join Evans on the line-up she wouldn't be worried about reaching the same level of fame as her pal Clarkson.

She added: ‘Walking down the street, all over the world he's recognised, but it wouldn't put me off for anything. No! I love doing my car presenting.’

Jodie's comments come after she rubbished claims the show - which was previously hosted by Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May - wouldn't work with a female host.

She told the Daily Star newspaper: ‘If someone told me I couldn't race or drive well because I was a woman, it would just make me more determined. It's a rush.’

Meanwhile, Chris previously claimed he would love to have a woman join him on the show, as long as they were right for the job.

He said: ‘I want people who are extremely knowledgeable about cars, I want to have people who have great energy, people who have good timing, people who have warmth about them, people who are keen and eager to do things differently.’
