For The First Time In Forever! Idina Menzel delighted to come face to face with Queen Elsa at Disneyworld Frozen attraction

It was the role that turned her from a famed voice on Broadway to a global star.

And on Wednesday singer and actress Idina Menzel paid a visit to Disneyworld in Florida, to say hi to Queen Elsa, the character that made her famous.

Idina, 44, was taking a break from her world tour on Tuesday when she stopped off to visit the Frozen Summer Fun attraction at the theme park.

She looked delighted to rub shoulders with Elsa, as well as the characters of Anna and Olaf from the animated smash hit. 

Idina, originally from New York, who first impressed playing the role of Maureen Johnson in Rent, wore a navy blue dress for her meet and greet. 

She has also starred as Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway, and won a best Actress Tony Award for her performance.

As well as appearing as Shelby Corcoran in Glee, she first voiced an animated role in Enchanted. playing Nancy.

But it was her star turn as Queen Elsa, which earned her international recognition for her vocal talents.

Frozen has gone on to be the most successful animated films of all time.

In May, the singer decided to dye her hair blonde, which led to a string of comparisons with the character she voiced and sang. 

However Idina was quick to deny she had changed her locks because she wanted to look more like Elsa, 

She told Good Day LA: 'They say I did it because I was inspired by my Elsa character, which I found very insulting

'That I would wake up one day and want to be blond, so I could look like an animated character...I just never, ever do anything with my hair and I finished my Broadway show. 

'Eight shows a week, same thing.'

Idina, who is back to brunette then joked: 'I look just like her! Oh Elsa, thank you so much. We're exactly the same aren't we? Those skinny balletic arms and that tiny waist!'
