That's a shell-ebration! Boy band 5 Seconds Of Summer revisit fun times on tour wearing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles costumes

It's been just over a year since they surprised fans by dressing up as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on a live online stream.

And now the talented boys from Australian band 5 Seconds Of Summer have done it again.

'What has my life come to,' read the caption next to a photo shared on the music group's Twitter page on Thursday, showing band members Calum Hood and Luke Hemmings decked out in the animated characters' costumes.

Guitarist Calum was in his rock star element, the 19-year-old clutching onto the musical instrument while making an open-mouthed expression.

The lime green suit showed off his biceps, and he donned a purple eye mask.

Meanwhile, lead vocalist Luke took more of the backseat on this occasion, standing behind Calum in the photo.

Looking away from the camera for the candid snap, he sported a blue eye mask and an identical costume, though his sleeves were a bit longer.

Blast from the past: In July last year, Calum and Luke were joined by fellow band members, Michael Clifford and Ashton Irwin, for a livestream in which they all dressed up as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The fun social media snap immediately drew some excited reactions from dedicated fans, many claiming it was a flashback snap to one of their concerts in the US last year when the four musicians wore the identical costumes.

'I REMEMBER THIS OMG,' one Twitter fan wrote to the band, while another tweeted, '@5SOS yo this was in south Florida my friend @5sos1dyoutube01 got to see u live :) at that ONE DIRECTION concert YOU OPENED for :)'.

Ashton was even cheeky enough to joke that the four singers were to be cast in the next film installment of the animated phenomenon, though it's safe to say the boys are sticking to their music career for the time being.

Earlier this month the band released She's Kinda Hot - the first single from their new album.

The track racked up over three millions views in just four days and became the most shared song on Twitter in the US.
