Reformed bad boy Sean Stewart displays extensive tattoo collection on shirtless jog... as he insists his wild days are behind him

He was a hard partying bad-boy in his youth but Rod Stewart's son Sean appears to have turned over a new leaf.

The 34-year-old reality star was spotted enjoying a shirtless jog in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, on Thursday, as he flashed his extensive collection of tattoos in the West Coast.

Sean, who is based in Los Angeles and whose mother is former model Alana Stewart, has made headlines over the years for a number of arrests and his struggle with drugs but he recently told Daily Mail Australia that those days are behind him.

'It's a total clean slate,' he said. 'I couldn't imagine myself getting into anything that was drug-fuelled or alcohol fuelled at this point in my life you know, that's not even a blip.'

And thanks to a stint on TV show Celebrity Rehab, he said he now is excited about waking up in the morning and heading to boxing class.

'The truth is, I'm so over it [that lifestyle], and so beyond it,' he explained.

'It's been a couple of decades since my life was like that, and it's so funny now because I wake up in the morning and what excites me, is going to boxing and getting my heart rate up and getting my endorphins going.

'And then I go and get a juice,' he said. 'I'm in such a new chapter in my life where my health and wellness is my main concern. I'm feeling good, I'm feeling healthy.'

And that seems to be true as Sean cut a determined figure as he pounded the pavement during his workout.

Donning a pair of black basketball shorts and matching running shoes, the clothing designer showed no signs of strain as he kept his heart-rate up.

Wearing his hair slicked back and sporting a hint of stubble, Sean was clearly in the zone as he kept his eyes forward while listening to his iPhone as he loped through the famous area.

Sean and his sister Kimberley, 32 - Rod and Alana's only other child together - are currently starring in a new reality TV show on E!, Stewarts & Hamiltons.

And although the rapid rise to fame that comes hand-in-hand with reality can send some stars spinning out of control, the ex-wild child recently revealed he was 'beyond' that lifestyle.

This year, Sean was arrested after riding a luggage carousel at Miami airport on his way to Haiti to help local children.

But he maintains that 'there wasn't any like foul play or illegal behavior, it was just me taking a joke a little too far.'

In 2002, he had a 90 day stint in jail for being outside a nightclub and attacking a man and five years later was denied entry into a LA bash and attacked a couple with a brick.

In 2010, he was also arrested after a traffic violation and had a warrant against him at the time.

Focusing on what's ahead, Sean said his own reality show will follow him as he works on his clothing line Dirty Weekend and said it's brought his family closer together.

He will appear on the new show with his mother Alana, sister Kimberly Stewart, and Alana's other son, Ashley Hamilton, who she shares with actor and ex, George Hamilton.

Drawing comparisons to the Kardashian family who rose to fame from their reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, he said he would love to do a show over a number of years like them.

'At first we were a little nervous and thought maybe this was going to be weird, you know we have these private lives and we are letting cameras in,' he said.

'But then, it was so magical and was so fun and I would be so happy if I could get to do this for years and years to come.'

Sean also hinted his father Rod, 70, will make an appearance on the show.
