Ashlee Simpson has given birth to a baby girl, according to reports.

The 30-year-old singer and her 26-year-old actor husband Evan Ross headed to a Los Angeles hospital on Thursday and she gave birth later that night, according to E!

The name and other details is not yet known.

However, Evan recently promised the name would be 'unique', adding: 'You guys will figure out the story behind it once we tell the name.'

The new baby is Ashlee’s second child.

She previously welcomed a boy, Bronx Mowgli, six, with her former husband and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz. The couple then divorced in 2011.

In 2013, the songstress began dating Ross, son of soul legend Diana Ross. By 2014, the couple were married and this is their first child together.

On Monday, they were spotted as they stepped out for lunch in Los Angeles.

Ashlee wore a black maxi dress and a chic trench coat. With her baby bump blossoming, the loving couple walked arm-in-arm and even shared a kiss.

Also on Monday’s outing, the duo stopped by a baby nursery to pick up some supplies for their new addition.

Ashlee’s actor/singer hubbie was also spotted preparing for the baby girl last week as he stopped by Beverly Hills’ high-end baby supply store Bel Bambini.

The ATL actor picked up a baby mattress while his wife stayed home.

And acquiring the necessary supplies isn’t the only way that Ross has been preparing; he’s also taken to Instagram recently with a slew of anticipatory photos, mainly from the couple’s 2014 wedding.

On Tuesday the actor, who’ll appear in the upcoming Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II, posted a loving snap from the special day with his bride and his son-in-law.

The photo shows the happy couple and six-year-old Bronx walking down a flight of grassy stairs for the ceremony, which was held at Ross’s mother’s house in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Ross captioned the snap: ‘Me and my amazing wife @ashleesimpsonross. At my mothers house in Greenwich Connecticut! And now I can't wait to meet my little baby girl.’
