And a couple days later, Charlize Theron looked somber as she was spotted arriving at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday.

The 39-year-old newly single actress covered her makeup-free eyes with a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses and her hand on her face while departing out of the travel hub alone.

It's been about two months since Charlize ended her engagement to Sean by reportedly 'ghosting' him.

But if she thought she could disappear from his life completely, she was wrong as, rather awkwardly, the former couple found themselves working together on Wednesday.

The pair, who had been friends for over 20 years before they started dating, were filming reshoots on director Sean's movie The Last Face which she stars in.

And it's not surprising things were awkward as Charlize is reported to have ended the relationship by 'ghosting' Sean, aka disappearing from his life without a word.
