Amy Poehler wore a gold ring on her wedding finger when she hit the Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp premiere in New York City on July 22, sparking rumours she was engaged to boyfriend Nick Kroll.

And while the 43-year-old comedienne has yet to comment on whether or not she has been proposed to, she appeared to have gone out of her way to literally skirt the issue when she showed up to the New York premiere of Difficult People in Manhattan on Thursday.

The Saturday Night Live vet hid her left hand behind the bottom portion of her black dress as she posed on the red carpet, which made it impossible to see if she was still modeling the bauble.

Among them is Hulu's Difficult People, which sees Amy serve as executive producer.

The upcoming comedy, which follows the antics of two unapologetically brash comedians living in New York City, stars Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner.

Describing the program during a interview with Amy on Marie Claire, Julie said: 'It's about me and my friend Billy Eichner and how, when the two of us met, we felt like outsiders in a community that we loved more than anything.

Meanwhile, Amy has signed on board a sports-comedy film written by Amy's frequent co-star, Ike Barinholtz, 38, and David Stassen, according to Deadline.

While details about the movie have not yet been released, it will star Amy as a once-bright basketball coach who could use a challenge.

In the film, Amy's character will get the job coaching an NBA team - the first woman ever to earn that leadership position - for an organization that might want her to fail.

The actress will also reprise her role of Susie in the Netflix reboot, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp.
