'They have their clique, we have ours': Miley Cyrus' rumored girlfriend Stella Maxwell on the split between Victoria's Secret veteran stars and the newly-minted Angels
- The 24-year-old said that she gets along well with veterans like Lily Aldridge and Doutzen Kroes, but spends more time with the new girls
- The British model didn't feel 'good enough' to be named an Angel - but it was a thrilling surprise
- Fellow Angel Romee Strijg, 20, added that it's been great to experience the high-profile gig with so many other new girls
As it turns out, not all of the Victoria's Secret Angels are BFFs.
Miley Cyrus' rumored girlfriend, British model Stella Maxwell, opened up to Yahoo Style about the 'clique'-like nature of friendships among the Victoria's Secret Angels - though, to be fair, even with divisions in the group, life as an Angel really doesn't seem too bad.
'I think me and the newer girls hang out a little more than maybe the older girls,' the 24-year-old said, adding that she does, however, 'get along well' with VS veterans Lily Aldridge and Doutzen Kroes. 'I think they have their clique and we have our clique.'

The in crowd: British model Stella Maxwell opened up about what it's like to be one of ten new Victoria's Secret Angels
Girlfriends: Stella said that the new girls have formed a 'clique' and hang out more together than they do with the VS veterans, who include Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima
The 'newer girls' Stella referred to are the ten international models who were added to the VS roster this year. Besides Stella, they include Romee Strijg (Holland), Taylor Swift's friend Matha Hunt (USA), Kate Grigoreva (Russia), Taylor Hill (USA), Elsa Hosk (Sweden), Jac Jagaciak (Poland), Lias Ribeiro (Brazil), Sara Sampaio (Portugal), and Jasmine Tookes (USA).
Having so many fresh faces has made joining the high-profile brand a bit easier for the Fashion Show freshmen, though. Romee, 20, who also talked to Yahoo, explained that it's been a bonding experience.
'To go along this path with the nine other girls… it’s super nice to have this experience together. Like, it’s all new for us, and I think that’s the nicest thing,' she said.
But that isn't to say that the other 'clique' of experienced Angels - which include Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Behati Prinsloo, Lily Aldridge, and Candice Swanepoel - have their mean girl claws out.
Social stunners: Despite the cliques, Stella (left) said she gets along with pros like Alessandra (center); also pictured are Martha Hunt (second from left), Elsa Hosk (second from right), and Romee Strijd (right)
Major pressure: Stella couldn't believe it when she first became an Angel earlier this year, explaining that 'none of us feel like we’re good enough for it'
Angels and idols: Romee (pictured) said she has 'so much respect' for Adriana Lima, and named her as the 'Angel godmother' of the group
In fact, both Stella and Romee said that they look up to all of the runway veterans - especially those who have come back to the modeling business after having kids.
Stella, in particular, said she 'idolized' Candice, while Romee named Adriana as the 'Angel godmother' of the group. They've been able to watch these ladies for years, picking up tips and being inspired along the way.
So learning that they'd be joining the team of lingerie-rocking bombshells was incredibly exciting - and surprising - for both Stella and Romee.
'None of us feel like we’re good enough for it, but we’re lucky enough to have it,' Stella said.

She added that the glamorous gig has 'opened up so many doors' for her, since signing with the brand has given her far more exposure than she'd ever had before.
Though Stella didn't discuss her rumored relationship with Miley Cyrus, she did comment on the paparazzi, who've begun following her around more since the two started stepping out together.
'I don’t really notice them that often; I just try to stay cool and be myself,' she said. 'I don’t really read into it too much. I don’t look for it.'
She also admitted that she knows better than to Google herself, which can be 'a big mistake'.
