'They're just numbers!': Robin Wright reveals she is not afraid to turn 50 next year because she 'worries less' as she gets older

Many women in Hollywood cringe at the thought of aging.

But Robin Wright insists she's comfortable with turning 50-years-old next April.

‘They’re just numbers. And you know what? When you step back from it, it’s like: bring it on. I’ve never been happier and more sound — just… at ease,' she said in a new interview with ES Magazine.

The House Of Cards star continued: ‘And that’s the greatest birthday gift — the greatest bit about getting old. You’re less worried, you’re less frenetic about things.’

Though the Golden Globe winner doesn't mind aging, she still believes she 'has to' have Botox injections.

Robin thinks the muscle-freezing treatments are an essential part of looking good on television, but she won't overdo the dosage as she doesn't want to risk rendering her features immobile.

She said: 'Oh my God, of course, you have to [have Botox].

'That's why it's called a sprinkle. I think most women do 10 units, but that freezes the face and you can't move it.

'This is just one unit and it's sprinkled here and there to take the edge off.'

The 49-year-old actress is in incredible shape, admitting to watching what she eats and regularly working out with a trainer.

When she's home in Los Angeles, Robin does Tabata, a speedy, high-intensity, fat-burning workout.

‘It is literally 20 or 30 minutes where you never stop moving and you work every single body part. I love that because I get so bored. I hate exercising so much.

'So when it is quick and it’s different all the time, I like that.’ It’s boring, but essential. ‘It’s all part of the job. I have to do it. You slack off when the show stops, though, and eat everything and don’t work out,’ she said.

Ex files: The actress also has children Dylan, 24, and Hopper, 21, with ex-husband Sean Penn, left, whom she was with for 14 years. The pair are pictured here in 2008

‘I am a big foodie and I love wine. I’m drinking this rosé now and I’ll have a burger tonight, but in general I’m quite careful.’

Robin recently split from Ben Foster after four years of dating. She also has children Dylan, 24, and Hopper, 21, with ex-husband Sean Penn whom she was with for 14 years.

The Forrest Gump star added, 'I'm a b***h sometimes. We're all that sometimes. But I like kindness and I like to keep reminding myself of that as a goal.'
