Famous cousins! Jenny McCarthy shares rare childhood photo of her and Melissa McCarthy for Throwback Thursday

Jenny McCarthy shared a rare childhood photo of herself with cousin Melissa McCarthy on Instagram.

On Thursday, the 42-year-old captioned an image of herself as a young girl beside her sister and the future comedienne: 'Me, my sis and my cousin Melissa. 102 degrees at the zoo, not happy campers. #tbt'.

In the vintage photograph, Melissa, now 44, appeared to sit centre, while Jenny looked to be seated in the far right.

Jenny has three sisters total: Joanne, Amy, and Lynette.

Nowadays, Jenny and Melissa have carved out highly successful careers, and have even become famous for their comedy.

Last year, the former Singled Out host denied rumours that she had bashed her cousin's size during an interview with People.

The former View host insisted: 'Nothing could be further from the truth.'

'There is a crazy story going around that I once told my cousin, Melissa, that she would have to lose weight in order to get into show business.'

The presenter explained: 'When she was starting out, I was fortunate enough to be in a position to get her a job on a show I was doing, to learn the ropes and get some experience on a TV set in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

'She has accomplished everything she has accomplished through hard work and her extraordinary talent, and I've only ever encouraged and supported and wished her the very best,' Jenny added.

Jenny was also just as mad about reports in the National Enquirer that suggested the Bridesmaids star Melissa was banned from her wedding to Donnie Wahlberg.

The former Playboy Playmate told the publication last year: 'They also say that I've 'banned' Melissa from my upcoming wedding, which is also ridiculous.

'Donnie and I are planning a very intimate ceremony that will involve a very small group of our closest friends and that's it – not a huge production with hundreds of friends and extended families.'

As of late, Jenny has been busy promoting the second season of her A&E program, which also stars her husband of nearly one year, Donnie.

The show premiered its second season earlier in July.

Make like Melissa in cut out sandals from Zara

Rolling out the red carpet for Melissa McCarthy!

She wore a pretty floral print dress as she was honored on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame recently. And her shoes were definitely made for walking! With a collection containing labels like Brian Atwood and Jimmy Choo, you might assume that Melissa's heels are pretty pricey. Aquazzura is a good guess? Kurt Geiger if you're lucky?

They were actually from Zara and the bad news is that they are now sold out. We loved the cutout details, suede texture and tie back. Plus of course, the nude hue will lengthen your legs in no time at all!

The good news is that we've lined up some great similar styles to fill the void in your heart that the Zara ones left. Check out our edit below!

These Asos sandals are even more of a bargain than Melissa's, or they'll be giving you a star in the shoe hall of fame with this Pour la Victoire version!

Melissa, meanwhile, and her husband Ben Falcone, 41, have decided to capitalize on their own experiences by executive producing a new show titled Friends with Melissa.

According to Deadline, TV Land has closed a deal for the show about a few Groundling alums who watched as some of their classmates shot to super stardom while they were left to idly sit by.

Melissa, who is coming off the big summer hit movie Spy, will appear in the pilot episode.
