Ashley Olsen showcased her eccentric, ultra-conservative style after emerging from her Manhattan brownstone with her hair still damp on Thursday.

The 29-year-old designer descended her staircase in a matronly pleated maxi-dress featuring overall-style straps with a beige blouse and chunky black heels.

The former child starlet - who's two minutes older than sister Mary-Kate - toted a straw bag as well as a black purse for her outing.

'Subtlety is a word we use all the time,' 5ft1in Ashley told Harper's Bazaar UK last September.

'It's about the clothes not wearing you. That's quite hard to find in fashion. I think modesty is very sexy.'

On Tuesday, Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos teased the possible return of the Olsen twins for the 2016 reboot, Fuller House.

'[They're] are teetering on whether or not they'll be around,' the 51-year-old producer told reporters at the Summer TCA press tour.

'She's actually not pregnant anymore. The baby's been born,' Candace revealed to the Hollywood Reporter this week.

'We didn't [want to] start it off quite so heavy so some more time has passed than they originally intended. It is tragedy that starts off the show, which was like the original Full House, but the themes are always heartfelt, it's always a situation you can always learn something from.'

Netflix will stream 13 new episodes of Fuller House next year.
