Giddy Noel Gallagher seems in VERY high spirits as he makes an animated departure from the Firehouse with glamorous wife Sara MacDonald

He was very much a wild child in the 90s when he found fame as part of rock band Oasis.

Proving that he still has so much more to give, Noel Gallagher was in high spirits on Thursday evening as he enjoyed a date night with his wife Sara MacDonald.

Pictured leaving London's Chiltern Firehouse following a trip to Theatre Royal Haymarket to watch Bradley Cooper in The Elephant Man, Gallagher, 48, showcased his laddish charm.

Standing on the pavement, Noel gave his best impression of Usain  Bolt's trademark winning pose as he joked around with photographers.

Clearly jubilant, Gallagher journeyed along with both hands in the air as his better half followed closely behind.

Once inside their ride home, the lifelong Manchester City fan appeared to be celebrating some sort of victory as he clinched his fists and cheered.

Dressed in casual attire, Noel wore a navy waterproof jacket with a polo shirt, jeans and trainers.

Making for a coordinated couple, Sara donned a dark blue jumpsuit with heeled sandals as she clutched onto a small black purse.

Gallagher and MacDonald, who have been married since 2011, made the most of their night out and also went for a meal at China Tag where they happened to bump in the man of the moment Cooper.

Meanwhile Noel recently revealed that his relationship with his brother Liam was the 'Achilles heel for Oasis' during a talk on Radio 4's Desert Island Discs.

The singer said: 'When I was saying before about you gain some kind of strength from being in a band with family when everyone around you is a complete stranger, like I also said as time goes on that becomes your Achilles heel because you know how to push each other's buttons.

'When family members are arguing everybody tends to leave the room so the differences we had, whether it would be with the music or the band or what video we were doing, would never get resolved because nobody would say "look you're right", everyone would just casually one at a time leave the room until you were just stood there arguing about something that just became completely irrelevant.'
