When she sashayed through the airport on her way back from her birthday celebrations in London, she had a big smile on her face.

And the reason for Selena Gomez's grin was no doubt the fact she is set to join the line up on the US version of reality singing show The Voice.

Sources revealed to Us Weekly on Thursday the 23-year-old singer will be joining the panel of mentors.

She will be working with Gwen Stefani on the show.

Selena returned from her jaunt to London on Tuesday and couldn't wipe the smile off her face as she made her way through the airport in LA wearing dark glasses and a long coat.

Meanwhile also set to join the line up are John Fogerty who will be assisting Adam Levine.

Travelling in style, Selena Gomez was spotted jetting into Heathrow airport today wearing a pared back chic ensemble.

And it looks like Selena came prepared for the somewhat unpredictable British weather. Wearing black leggings and a vest, Selena wrapped up in a navy coat, completing her look with a rucksack and some petrol blue leather ankle boots.

The source revealed Brad Paisley, 42, is working with Blake Shelton, 39.

John Forgerty, 70, the orginal lead singer and guitarist for American band Creedence Clearwater Revival was the stand out choice for rocker Adam, 36, as he considers him a legend.

When he saw him perform on The Voice finale last season, the singer asked if he would consider coming back in the role of mentor.

The source also revealed Brad Paisley was chosen because he has a good relationship with Blake Shelton, and has been something of a rock to him as he has gone through his marriage break up with wife Miranda Gilbert.

The pair announced they were getting divorced last week after being hitched for four years.

Other names who have guided contestants in past are Lionel Richie, Ellie Goulding, Meghan Trainor, Stevie Nicks, Gavin Rossdale, and Alicia Keys.
