A mother and son have revealed their incredible transformation after ditching ready meals for fresh meat and vegetables.
Angela McManus, 48, from Newcastle upon Tyne, used to wear a size 16 and had an unhealthy diet of processed ready meals but after overhauling her diet has dropped two dress sizes and loves working out.
Meanwhile, her 20-year-old son Bradley is barely recognisable from his 'chubby' teenage days with a solid six-pack and toned arms.

Angela said in the past her understanding of nutrition 'hadn't been great' and she would pick 'whatever frozen junk' she could find in the supermarket.
'My sons lived off chicken nuggets and chips and a standard meal for me was something like a frozen chicken kiev,' she recalled.
'Looking back, I can’t believe how long this lasted. I just did what I thought would be cheapest and easiest without considering other options.'
However, the mother-of-two decided it was time for a change when went snowboarding with her family, and found herself constantly out of breath.

She admitted: 'It spoiled the holiday and left me feeling terrible.'
Angela’s insecurities crept up on her around Christmas 2013, when too much turkey and sweet treats left her feeling portly and insecure.
In the past, going to the gym had been more of a social call, but she took action in February last year and hasn’t looked back since.
'My first big step was signing up with a personal trainer. They helped me to get on track with exercise, which was a huge struggle at first,' the 48-year-old admitted.
'At that point, I was working out then coming home and eating the same meals as before, packed with processed foods.'
The Newcastle mother couldn't figure out why she wasn't shedding the pounds, until she decided to switch up her old diet.
Angela said: 'Changing my diet played a huge role in my transformation.
It was only when the pair went on a snowboarding holiday and were left feeling out of breath, that they knew they had to change their lifestyles

'In the past, my understanding of nutrition and the options out there hadn't been great, but once I started to search for the facts my life changed completely.'
Free from processed foods and buying fresh meat in bulk from online health retailer MuscleFood.com helped the 48-year-old give herself a completely lifestyle overhaul.
'While they might not eat all the greens that I do, they’re fans of the healthier meats that I now cook up,' she admitted.
'I swapped our breaded chicken for healthier alternatives and replaced my usual snack of crisps with celery sticks and almond butter.
'Gone are the days of skipping breakfast, now I stock up on spinach and poached eggs to give myself the healthiest start to the day.'
This change left Angela with heaps more energy and a lithe figure, prompting her to invite her 20-year-old son, Bradley, to join in too.
She recalled: 'Bradley had been chubby since school, avoiding exercise except for football and eating starchy school dinners.'
'It feels so great to have improved my son’s life as well as my own': Mother Angela is proud of both their progress
'Once I saw the changes in my life, I encouraged him to give a personal trainer a go and eat healthily.
'He’s seen a huge change in his life and the two of us support each other, not allowing ourselves to make the excuses that stopped us from good health previously.
'It feels so great to have improved my son’s life as well as my own. A few years ago, I could only imagine feeling and looking the way that I do now, so it’s fantastic to achieve what I have.'
