Memphis Depay has taken to Manchester United's squad like a duck to water since his £25million arrival from PSV this summer and it seems Luke Shaw could be the secret to his contentment with the Red Devils.

The giggling pair were filmed on Friday joking about their blossoming relationship which has developed throughout the squad's pre-season tour of North America.

In the MUTV interview, Depay admitted that Shaw 'calls me 'massive' all the time' which prompted a fit of laughter between the pair.

Shaw, 20, suggested that he is well aware that 'everyone' has been speaking about the fact that he has become good friends with Depay, 21, helping the talented Dutchman settle in, and he seemed shy, without taken offence, when asked to comment on the situation.

Depay, frankly stated, 'I think it is good to meet new people and this guy is young like me so we are a little bit in the same generation.'

The Holland international made his United debut in the side's 1-0 win over Club America in Seattle, and scored for the team in their most recent tour match, as they beat San Jose Earthquakes 3-1 at the Avaya Stadium.

He will hope to add to that tally when Louis van Gaal's men take on Barcelona on Saturday, and Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday.
